Is it wise to tier your friends?

por

Whether at work or down the pub, in your neighbourhood or from times gone past, we all have friends who occupy different spaces in our lives. This week Chris, Marcus and Sarah discuss that and more.

What would you put in Room 101?

por

We all have things that we hate and stuff that annoy us. For decades the BBC had a show entitled Room 101 where celebs would go on and try to persuade the host to put some of their hates and annoyances into oblivion in Room 101. Today we’re answering this question - what would you put in Room 101?

Did you know that 25% of the population are classified as 'super tasters'? Or how about by the age of 5 most children stop being fussy about what they eat? Well, clearly some of us didn't get the memo on the latter as both Sarah and Marcus put their cases forward for being picky eaters. Chris gives some interesting advice on how to improve your palate and explains how he overcame his hatred of tomatoes and mushrooms.

Should you ever judge a book by its cover?

por

The phrase 'don’t judge a book by its cover' suggests that outward appearances are not a reliable indication of the true character of someone or something. However, every week or even every day we make all sorts of quick decisions which indicate that we often do that very thing.
Chris, Marcus and Sarah discuss situations and examples when judging a book by its cover is helpful, harmful or just downright confusing.

How can we disagree well?

Sarah says she feels too much pressure when socialising around someone else's house, Chris prefers to host as he's in charge of the cooking and Marcus claims to be an excellent guest. The gang also talk about what guests can expect if they are invited on the Graham Norton Show or what would have been expected of you if George I of Great Britain invited you to a bash back in his day.

Which films disappointed you?

Do you prefer the countryside to the city?

por

Do you prefer wide open spaces or busy roads and streets? Are you one for calm and quiet or noise and vibrancy? Does the thought of public transport fill you with dread or do you relish the rat race?

Sarah doesn't like the gossiping culture in her village back home and Marcus likes to be near the theatre even though he never goes. However, they'd all like a garden, cheaper living costs and cleaner air!

Do you pay attention to dreams?

por

Greetings one and all! On this week's episode Chris, Marcus and Sarah talk about dreams. Sarah speaks about how her dreams can affect her mood and Marcus tells us about a particular dream he had that turned out to be quite telepathic!
Throughout the years much research and study has been done on this subject. The ancient Egyptians put great emphasis on dreaming and would even consult their "professional dreamers" before going into battle. Sigmund Freud, on the other hand, believed they didn't have much meaning at all.
