Unsolved: Rita Curran and Marilee Burt

This week Paul and Billy look into two separate unsolved murders from the 1970s. 24-year-old Rita Curran was killed in Burlington, Vermont, on the night of July 19th, 1971. 15-year-old Marilee Burt walked home from her friend's house on February 26th, 1970, in Littleton, Colorado. The Murder of Crystal and Kylen (and Gabby Petito)

Crystal Turner and Kylen Schulte were still enjoying their first year of marriage and lived in the great outdoors. On August 13th, 2021 they went out for drinks with friends at a local bar. They tell their friends about a creepy guy who’s been camping next to them. Their bodies were discovered near their campsite almost a week later. For a brief moment, the case was possibly linked to the high profile missing person’s case of Gabby Petito. But even with increased attention, their killer remains unknown. Michael Bryson, J.J. Day and More Recent Cases

This week Billy and Paul take a look at several recent cases. On November 26th, 2020,  Alexis Sharkey went to Thanksgiving with friends. After getting home she had a disagreement with her husband, then left the house. Her naked body was discovered in the bushes off of Red Haw. Michael Bryson disappeared from the Hobo Campgrounds in the Cottage Grove Area in Lane County, Oregon, in the early morning hours of August 5th, 2020. 25-year-old J.J. Day was last seen at 9:12 AM at Beyond/Hello in Bloomington on August 24th, 2021. Five year old Summer Wells was at home with her family on June 15th, 2021. She went downstairs to play with toys in the Beech Creek Community house in Hawkins County, Tennessee. Within minutes, she vanished. Three women were physically attacked in the last year in the West End of Portland, Maine. Other women have reported being watched or followed by a man in the car. Missing Jodi Huisentruit

27-year-old Jodi Huisentruit was anchor in Mason City, Iowa. On June 27th, 1995, Jodi was running late for her shift at 3 AM. When police arrived at her apartment building, Jodi's car and some of her belongings were in the parking lot. But there has been no sign of Jodi since. Missing in TX

This week Paul and Billy are joined by Kate Winkler Dawson to discuss two missing person cases in Texas. Brandon Lawson left home after an argument on August 8th, 2013. He called for help after his truck ran out of gas, but when assistance arrived he was gone. The Murder of Suzanne Jovin

21-year-old Suzanne Jovin was stabbed 17 times on December 4th, 1998. The Yale student had just finished a draft of her senior essay on terrorism and spent the day volunteering. Who Killed Penn State Student Betsy Aardsma?

22-year-old English grad student Betsy Aardsma was working on an upcoming project in the library at Penn State in November of 1969. While in Aisle 51 on Level 2 of the Pattee Library, an unknown offender stabbed Betsy once. A Serial Killer in the Connecticut River Valley?

For a decade--from 1978 to 1988--there seemed to be an offender preying on women in the Connecticut River Valley area. Seven women were murdered and one was left for dead. The Murder of Candance Boley

36-year-old Candance Boley was discovered murdered in her home in Killeen, Texas, on July 11th, 2011. She hadn't been seen since July 9th. Over 10 people's DNA were found inside the home, but the case remains unsolved 10 years later. Where is Baby Gabriel?

In December 2009, Elizabeth Johnson took her seven month old son Gabriel to San Antonio, Texas, from Tempe, Arizona. His father Logan McQueary was supposed to pick him up on 20th for his first Christmas. Instead he received a text a week later saying Elizabeth had killed him. By the time authorities catch up to Elizabeth, Gabriel is no longer with her and she says she gave him up for adoption. The Unsolved Murders of Kevin Clewer and Brian Boothe

The next day his father found him stabbed over 40 times in his apartment. In Seattle on November 8, 2001, Donna O'Steen took her daughter to a piano lesson before school. One of the four murders have been solved by the Porchlight Project, but three cases remain unsolved. Is There a Serial Killer in Lumberton, NC?

In 2017 three women were found dead within a three block radius in Lumberton, NC. Kristin "Christina" Bennett, Rhonda Jones and Megan Oxendine all struggled with drug addiction. The Las Cruces Bowling Alley Massacre
