Americarnage #206: Super Bowl Hangover, Panthers Edition

por Me:Mo

With the Iron One still out of the country, he says it’s nothing to do with a waitress called Candy but we have our doubts, Nat and Dan are feeling a little blue. Luckily friend of the show and man of a thousand Vegas stories Mr Ben Isaacs is in the house and ready to take on the big man’s mantle...

In other news: Dan has never met Nat’s wife, something which gets as surprising amount of discussion [mainly cut – HdP] Mancave get some love and Ben gets some Mancave stuff, which is nice; Unibet get some love, but less than they might have when it turns out they don’t actually put a steak in your account when you open it; Ben has been watching Cuba Gooding Jr be OJ Simpson – on telly, not in his garden or anything; SB50 gets a full run-down, kicking off with an audio postcard from the Big Man; aside from that, some very serious things get talked about the bad things which happen in the NFL and we actually mean it this time – serious things; in the NBA Cleveland lead the East, from the Raptors who are now just two games behind after the Cavs lost to the Hornets and the resurgent Celtics; in the West it’s the Warriors from the Spurs; in the NHL Washington lead the East from Florida and New York; in the West it goes Chicago, Dallas, St Louis and LA; lots of Mancave Mailbag goodness; a Unibet charity bet and much-diddly-uch-much more…

Americarnage #216: Sabbaticarnage

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan aren't in the studio this week, it's just Harry the Producer and he has some news for ya'll.

Americarnage #215: The Game of the Dick-Punch

por Me:Mo

With Nat on IR with a Filming, Mike and Dan needed a safe pair of hands to help them out with tonight’s show and they don’t come much safer (well, there is one guy…) than Mr Hockey Erik Janssen who immediately has the guys talking about money and not taking your dad to work…

In other news: Mancave have 20% off all gift sets and buckets in honour of Father’s Day so buy some, tell yourself you’re going to give it to him, then keep it; Unibet are dishing out a £25 deposit bonus when you sign up via unibet.co.uk/americarnage; Mike dishes out a few betting tips, some are good; Dan suggests you go further, this might not be so good; Dan brings up the Great Slippery Phone Insurance scam; the guys all went to see The Boss; Mike talks about Ali; Erik tells us about Sidney Crosby lifting the Stanley Cup; no matter how good this is, should hockey tip into June? The gang think not; Mike and Erik talk about the late, great Gordy Howe; in the NBA things have been strangely un-thrilling as LeBron’s Cavs and Golden State knock it back and forth, including some dick-punches as per last year; then all of a sudden LeBron and Kyrie made a game of it which, combined with some Golden State indiscipline takes it to Game 6 in Cleveland; Mike talks baseball and Rex Sox knuckleballers; in the American League everyone sucks, in the National League there are some great games – we might be over-simplifying… things happen in the Non-Stop League too but still three months until first Gronk-Spike so let’s keep it to that right now; there are some cracking questions in the Mancave Mailbag and, you guessed it, much, much more…

Americarnage #214: Before Sunrise

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and… Well, that’s it this week as Hollywood is wrapped up in other business and the super-secret special guest fails to materialise – no, names, no pack duty to paraphrase the Iron One – but the guys might have done the odd show together so we’re in safe hands here. It’s not Americarnage After Dark, it’s Americarnage Before Sunrise – but who’s Ethan Hawke…?

In other news: The Americarnage Question of the Week offers up another winner of epic amounts of goodies, guaranteed to let him give up renting and #OwnTheBathroom; old mates Unibet are offering £25 when you head over to unibet.co.uk/Americarnage; Mike used to teach kids who don’t read so good; Nat, Mike and Dan are off to see The Boss this weekend – Mancave goodies to any ‘Carnage fans who snap a pic with any of them; Mike talks epic tales of the sporting past; Nat talks Hanks and Desert Island Discs; we’re at the sharp end of the NBA season and it’s the Cavs vs Golden State; in the NFL, Walter Thurman has nixed his NFL career at the age of 28; Fitz and the Jets are talking but not agreeing yet; in the NHL it’s all about the Sharks and the Penguins; there’s some baseball – mainly Mike’s Redsox – loads of great stuff from the Mancave Mailbag and of course much, much, more…

Americarnage #213: Don't Ask Boring Questions

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan are all together again! It seems like it’s been ages but in many ways, not long enough… To make things even better the gang are joined by the award-winning sports journalist, old friend of Iron Mike and man who holds the key to the question he must never answer “will there be a London Franchise?” NFL’s David Tossell.

In other news: Mike talks about what it is to be human; Dan talks about great telly; David mentions his new book which you need to buy – The Girls of Summer (it’s to do with cricket); Nat breaks the great news that we’re bringing back Ask Mike – new videos coming soon gang, get your questions in and we return to the cult of personality; in the NFL, lots of things were stolen and fraudulently sold but this time it’s nothing to do with the [insert least favourite coach here]; Mike rates the Baltimore, Green Bay, Seattle and Cinci; in the NBA, season MVP is Steph Curry - why even bother to debate it, not only did he win for the second year running but is probably a cyborg sent back to kill Trump who took up basketball instead and got all 131 first choice votes, the first player in history to do that; actual games happened, Dan tells you about them; in the NHL, the Lightning obliterated the Islanders; in the West the Sharks and the Predators have split 6 games, after San Jose cruised to a two game lead with Logan Courtue and Brent Burns scoring for fun; things happen in baseball, including slow, old, amazing home runs; loads of Mancave Mailbag goodness and my gosh with David in the house is there much, much more…

Americarnage #212: I Can Hear Jimmy

por Me:Mo

Nat and Dan rock up to the studio this week in the certain knowledge that the Iron One is elsewhere, although quite what this means is up for debate – options include stumping for Ted Cruz, doing things for the mob and other less (more?) salubrious options. Whatever he’s up to he’s sent in lots of good stuff and, what’s more, the guys are joined by the legend that is Erik The Producer Janssen.

In other news: the Mancave Champions Club App Question of the Week winner this week is Mr James Cooper of Minehead who bags himself a load of goodies – you can get involved too by downloading it right…. NOW! Jimmy Garopollo makes an early appearance and then reappears quite a bit – which is nice; Erik has been watching Better Call Saul – a near-Nat level of cultural relevance; conversely, Nat has been watching The Jungle Book – the new one and everything; Dan ran the Brighton marathon and got sunburnt in the cold; all sorts of pre-draft manoeuvring in the NFL and Iron Mike talks you through his version of the first 10 picks; will a new top cornerback make the Racistskins any better? Johnny Manziel is still in the news for all the wrong reason, think this is just how it goes; the NBA Playoffs are underway and everyone is injured; Cleveland are the only ones through so far; OKC and the Spurs will play each other in the West; Erik tackles the NHL with a catch in his voice due to the lack of Canadian teams in the playoffs; the Blues are through to face the Stars; the Kings are out; in the MLB the White Sox execute the most ridiculous triple play ever in the history of anything; Albert Pujoles hits 565 homers, which is also pretty mental; Erik then breaks out The Birthday Game for the first time in a while and it inspires this week’s competition; there’s the usual Mancave Mailbag goodness and definitely much, much more…

Americarnage #211: The Sound of Two Hands Clapping

por Me:Mo

With Nat still in Panama dealing with the fallout of recent events, Mike and Dan find themselves doing a two-hander this week, something that immediately and unsurprisingly becomes a bit rude. It involves hands.

In other news: Mike stood in for Nat on Talksport 2 the other night, it was fun; the Question of the Week on the Mancave app is Adam Wright from Cardiff – he wins a big box of goodies and you can too; Dan has a lot of three points, but that’s what happens when he’s not allowed to talk for two weeks; one of them is a film, another is telly and the third is a book so it’s very nearly a media clean-sweep; the NFL round-up is less sports and more CSI but then that’s depressingly familiar; lots of trading and manoeuvring ahead of the draft; Kaepernick is once again in the news and what the bloody hell is going on there? In the NBA the Cavs have won the East and the Warriors have won the West, although the Spurs did their damnedest to spoil that party; Kobe’s retiring apparently, no-one cares; the NHL playoffs start TONIGHT and Washington had their best ever season resulting in a top seed while everyone else just kind of gets slotted in somehow; lots of other things but also David Cameron has been fired… From his coaching job with the Ottawa Senators; stickball season is back and Mike talks a lot about that, Dan less so; loads on Mancave Mailbag goodness and just the right amount of much, much more…

Americarnage #210: Let’s Keep This Tight

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan are back in the game after two long weeks out of the studio and it turns out their cultural references are just as fresh as they’ve always been, something which Dan is not slow to point out. Anyway, they’re short on time but it doesn’t stop things from rollin’ rollin’ rollin…

In other news: there’s wifi in the studio for the first time in ages, this is only relevant because it makes us happy; Dan outlines the “banter” defence before moving on to a critical dissection of Zootropolis which Nat joins in on; Mike has been watching season 2 of Bosch and things about the Easter Rising – not as many parallels as you might think; Nat brings up a new podcast about The West Wing and it just gets better from there; there are Mancave Question of the Week winners (download the app and get involved folks); the NFL is suing the NYT because they don’t have enough money yet; the touchback gets moved and the touchback stays still, angering most; Julian Edelman has an overdue game; oh, plus there’s some free agency stuff – Alfred Morris to the Cowboys for one; there’s some pre-season baseball for the first time in simply ages; in the NBA the Cavs lead the East and the Warriors lead the West; the Clippers have three players who statistically out rank Stef Curry which is kind of amazing; there’s lots of Mancave Mailbag goodness, a game starts, stops and is edited out (for everyone’s own good) but never fear – there is much, much more…

Americarnage #209: Iron Haircut Special

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan are on fine form this evening for a variety of reasons but mainly based around Mike’s natty new birthday haircut. It’s a hell of a do to be sure and it’s either that or the Irish Whiskey he’s presented with during the show which gives a rosy glow to proceedings…

In other new: local Camden business Trufflesecco does not get the nod from Dan and he expresses his distaste for these things; Mike has seen Concussion which is not that good apparently, who knew? Nat has a brand new Talksport show coming up soon, watch this space for more info and ‘Carnage listeners will definitely recognise many of the guests; Dan has read a spectacular book and shares it with the gang; in the NFL Free Agency is just as mental as the season that preceded it – now that Tom Coughlin is gone the Giants are spending all the money in the world; RB’s are mainly running between teams this time of year; Mark Sanchez is a Bronco and he’s probably among the many people confused about this; in the NBA the Cavs lead the east and LeBron is still on top; in the West the Warriors and Spurs are up top; NHL things happen, great Mancave Mailbag things happen, a twitter-based game happens and it’s great too and of course the requisite much, much more…

Americarnage #208: InterNATional Women's Day

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan romp into studio after a break with enough energy to immediately turn International Women’s Day into mum jokes and worse. Business as usual then. Luckily they move on to much lighter things, like the resurgence in football (soccer) violence and the places of Nat and Dan’s respective teams in this. Like I said, business as usual…

In other news: A competition sparks a series of revelations as to what the guys find attractive with Dan in particular entering into the spirit of things; the Mancave Question of the Week is running on the app and there are winners galore – Richard Stubbs and Stephen Fowldes over the last couple of weeks – so download the app and get involved; in the Mancave not-on-the-app competition we get two winners who both get stuff; Mike has been watching a lot of things, many of them good; Dan talks about football violence and racism while Nat has been to see Alvin and the Chipmunks, so that’s nice; in the NFL there have been retirements - Peyton, Calvin - weird signings (Incognito) and plain old oddness - Bill has lunch with Donald; the Jets have Crazy Chip’s Fire Sale in return for all the picks; if the Rams get RGIII it will be the funniest thing in recent NFL history; in the NBA, the Lakers win things and Kobe takes credit; Golden State are back in the game; in Oklahoma there’s been a suspicious death which has something to with basketball but is very suspicious; the Spurs are making a bid for the top but being ignored because they always seem to do this; in the NHL 16 games left and the Caps are dominating like no-one else ever has; the Ducks are on a streak too so let’s see how that works out; there’s a discussion of a game to happen in the future and we reckon it should happen; Mancave Mailbag goodness from the ‘Carnage massive and of course plenty – sorry – I mean much, much, more…

Americarnage #207: The British Gammon Council

por Me:Mo

Nat and Dan bound into the studio full of the sort of joyous energy that can only mean that all-pro friend of the show Marek Larwood is in the house. With the Big Man on IR this week the three of them set to discussing the most important topics they can – HdP’s pen, the shady world of gammon dealing and definitions of subcultures. Oh, and some sports!

In other news: seriously, the British Gammon Council are more powerful than you will ever know; Mancave are dishing out free things to everyone, just download the app and they will come your way; we’re giving away our share too – this week’s twitter comp Clean Up Your Act had an epic load of entries but there had to be a winner and it’s Jamie Foyle who gets a big box of stuff; in the Mancave question of the week comp on the app Peter Crisp from Thatcham wins stuff too; then there’s stuff that doesn’t involve competitions, like the NFL! Iron Mike phones it in with an amazingly two minute round-up in off-season; in the NBA the Warriors lead the West from San Antonio and Oklahoma; Cleveland lead the East from Toronto and Miami, who are miles back; NHL-wise Washington lead the East from Florida, but the Pannthers may as well give up on top spot because they are so far behind they might as well; in the West – Chicago, Dallas, St Louis - sound familiar? there's the usual insightful stuff from the Mancave Mailbag; Dan is watching all the Oscar films and the guys run through the prospects and of course much, much more…

Americarnage #204: Champions Club Weekend

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan find themselves in a strange mood after a hell of a championship weekend, one which Dan enjoyed so much he got a whole year older. There are competitions and bets galore this week though, so that’s nice...

In other news: Dan had a birthday, it was good; Mike has seen some programmes, they’re good too; Nat has been to the theatre, it’s good but effing extortionate; in the NFL, we know who’s going to the Super Bowl; Brady had a nightmare out there and took more hits than a... someone with better O-line protection; Danny Amendola took almost as many hits, that guy takes a punishing; Cam Newton loves getting airborne, who knew? Arizona bomb out, seemingly because of the fallout from a muffed punt – the guys talk about this; in the NBA the Cavaliers lead the East, from the Raptors who came back from London and will not stop winning – eight straight for them; the West is the Warriors leading from the Spurs – who enjoyed a 13 game winning streak until last night when the two came together for the biggest game of the season so far;  NHL-wise Washington lead the East from Florida; Chicago lead the West from St Louis and Dallas; loads of Mancave Mailbag goodness; a charity bet, the final appearance of HipHop on Trial and of course much, much more...

Americarnage #202: South Korean Elevator

por Me:Mo

After such a brutal weekend in the NFL it’s hardly surprising to hear that the ‘Carnage gang are down one this week as Nat is on IR with a Roethlisberger (?) but Mike and Dan have brushed themselves down and limped into the studio. There they are joined by International Man of Journalism and possessor of superb vintage sports memorabilia Mr Anthony Wootton who brings an awesome book to Three Points – so awesome that Mike proceeds to talk about it for him…

In other news: Dan has seen things, so many things, and they are mainly good but he also drank kimchi lemonade so it’s a score-draw there; Mike has been in a lift in South Korea and sympathises; Alex gives away one of his Mancave goodies to Dan because of reasons; in the NFL it was all about the visiting teams; Bryan Hoyer didn’t enjoy himself; Vontaze Burfict is a dangerous man but maybe not dangerous enough; Seattle is a bit magic; Green Bay look like the old Green Bay, a bit at least; in the NBA Cavs lead the East, with the Raptors running along behind them; in the West the Warriors continue to lead and owner of amazing name Kristaps Porzingis is now being talked of as a rookie of the year; lots of Mancave Mailbag good stuff; some top memorabilia sifting happens and indeed much, much more…

Americarnage #201: Happy New Carnage!

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan assemble in the studio for the first time in what seems like nowhere near long enough and their tails are up as there’s lots to discuss! In the time since the gang were last on air a whole new year has started, the playoff berths have been decided and, which is more, Mike has written a haiku. It’s haunting.

In other news: Nat’s favourite year so far was 1923 which is mildly confusing; Dan has seen all the films ever, in a row, then topping up with Netflix; Mike talks Homeland; Nat talks Feinstein; in the NFL Mike went 10-6 and swept the NFLUK Experts panel; Brady stunk up the joint while Peyton looked like the old Peyton; Carolina kept it to one loss to keep the top seed; Seattle play Minnesota this weekend and Green Bay will play the Washington Racistnames; meanwhile, surprisingly few coaches have lost their jobs… in the NBA the Cavs lead the East, comfortably ahead of your Chicago Bulls; in the West it’s the Golden State Warriors ahead of the Spurs, the Thunder and the Clippers; in the NHL Washington lead the East, from Florida, who have had an impeccable Christmas where they beat everyone. Dallas lead the West from LA; Mike talks College Ball nad Bowl Games Galore; lots of goodness from the Mancave Mailbag and even time for a game besides the much, much more…

Americarnage #200: Subterranean ‘Carnage Blues

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan assemble for the remarkably round-number-ish 200th time in the Americarnage studio, just a couple of doors down from where it all started almost exactly five years ago.

It’s Christmas, we’re five years old - what better to do than invite all-pro creepy uncle and most-capped guest Mr Marek Larwood to join them as they open presents, eat cake, drink champagne and wonder what the bloody hell has happened to mean that the show is still going…

Along the way there are messages from old favourites such as The First Lady and Vladimir Putin, Mike rewrites Dylan and performs it amazingly* as well as competitions, prizes, mailbag goodness, games and even some sports in this bumper 79 (!) minute show. Make it last though folks, we’ll be taking a break until the new year but in the mean time have a brilliant Christmas, a stonking New Year and we’ll see you on the other side. Huge thanks from Nat, Mike, Dan and HdP to everyone who has joined us over the years and of course all you brilliantly mental listeners.

*seriously, we were amazed.

Americarnage #199: All the Ideas, No Gear

por Me:Mo

Nat and Dan rock up to the studio to find that HdP has managed to either break the studio or sell most of it for drugs, leaving only one microphone for them to huddle around. It’s an intimate gig, made even more intimate and far more awesome thanks to comedian, star of stage and screen and all-round gent Mr David Whitney who adds even more ideas to an ideas-heavy show this week – if there’s a sport, the guys have a way to make it even better...

In other news: there’s a competition happening, listen ot find out what it is; Dan wants to run another competition, definitely one you don’t want to enter –or do you David has been reading about habits; the NFL East is worst division in the entire history of all professional sport and we’re not prone to hyperbole; insane punt returns are becoming the norm and records continue to tumble while Carolina just get things done; Dan comes up with some great ways to improve the game and encourage laterals; in the NBA the Cavs lead the East from the Pacers, the Warriors continue to lead the West; Cleveland went to Miami, where they always lose, and lost for the 10th straight time in South Beach; in the NHL Montreal lead the East from New York, Dallas lead the West from the streaking LA Kings; rough week for the Habs - they’ve lost three of five games since Paul Condon took over from Carey Price; out West it’s all Jeff Carter and Tyler Toffoli, as they beat everyone put in their way this week; loads of Mancave Mailbag goodness and much, much more...

Americarnage #198: Three Man Spooning

por Me:Mo

Mike and Dan rock up at the studio this week to find that Nat is on IR with a kids party but that all-pro friend of the show Mr Phil Spooner is in the house, or is he?

In other news: Dan spills the beans about a personal matter of Phil’s without Phil even being in the studio; Black Mass takes a panning; Peep Show gets a rare mention; NFL refereeing is even more lunatic this week; Carolina stay unbeaten while the Pats are no longer perfect; the Jest beat Miami; Phil’s predictive powers are strong; in the NBA the Cavaliers lead the East from the streaking Pacers, who have won a Paul George inspired five straight; in the West it’s Golden State Warriors from the San Antonio Spurs; Kobe is retiring just to make sure the story is always about him; there’s some baseball chat but not a great deal; in the NHL Montreal are back on top of the east after New York had a slippy week; in the west Dallas lead St Louis by a good few points, and if that doesn’t encourage people to start foiling their empty arena, what will; loads of goodness from the Mancave mailbag and there’s even a Speakpipe message to help with the much, much more…

Americarnage #197: Crosse Promotional Activity

por Me:Mo

Nat and Dan have started the show before they realise there’s something wrong – they’re talking to each other without interruption and able to finish sentences unimpeded. Damn and blast it if the Iron One isn’t on IR with a nonspecific! Saving them, and you, from an Americarnage After Dark though is the one and only Simon Crosse, sports producer extraordinaire, Bluejays fanatic and producer of Nat and Mike’s 5Live Sports Extra show, starting with a triple-header this Thanksgiving Thusday. This gets mentioned in the show. A little.

In other news: Dan has been to the dentist; Simon has in his possession something so good that the person who recommended it to him wants to become him; some people look like other people, this can be funny; the very first messages are coming through on the Americarnage Speakpipe; Thusdayt is shaping up like Americarnage on 5Live as Dan gets involved; Seattle continues the Niners lousy season; Joe Flacco is out but sets up a win with a busted knee; Case Keenum is one unlucky guy; Danny Amendola is injured again, poor devil; refereeing is still shocking; in the NBA the Cavaliers lead the East from Miami, who have won 3 on the bounce and are starting to gel; Golden State lead the West from the Spurs and Golden State are now the league’s only undefeated team; in the land of huckenshuck New York and Montreal are tied at the top of the East; Dallas handily lead St Louis at the top of the West; loads of Mancave Mailbag goodness happens; Simon saves the gang from a gameless week with his list of Rock’n’Roll Hall of Fame nominees which means Dan is in the picture for the first time, well, ever; all this and the requisite much, much more…

Americarnage #196: A-Vernon-Kay-nage

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan rock up at the studio to find a pile of Mancave goodies on the table which means there must be a guest about but damned if they can see him. They get started only to catch a glimpse of movement which resolves itself into TV, radio and indeed NFL’s Vernon Kay who had woven himself into the fabric of the place using Mancave's new CamoMoisturiser. Or they're a bit crap at seeing. Either or.

In other news: Mike lists every single cast member of a show; Vernon has had etiquette lessons with Andrew Luck but in the end rocks a travel cup; Nat and Mike are starting their 5Live NFL coverage at 8pm on Thanksgiving and every Sunday after; the Bengals keep their primetime jinx going; the Pats keep rolling;’ the “is it the end of Peyton Manning” question gets an airing again; grass-roots Football in the UK and the future of the sport in the UK gets a surprisingly coherent discussion; in the NBA Cleveland lead the East from Chicago; the unbeaten Golden State Warriors lead the San Antonio Spurs in the West; the NHL has a new leader in the East, the New York Rangers are above Montreal who have played and lost one more; in the West it’s Dallas and St Louis; loads of #AskVern and Mancave Mailbag action; Dan breaks out a cracker of a game created with Vernon in mind plus much, much more...

Americarnage #195: BrassellMania

por Me:Mo

With the Iron One out of action this week Nat and Dan decide that they’ve got to get a man of equal stature in, a sports writer and broadcaster of impeccable creds and unbounded charm. So not like Mike at all then. Luckily the ‘Carnage little black book comes up trumps with the brilliant Andy Brassell whose sports writing chops are so good he WATCHES NBA FOR FUN. Nuff said. Also, Carlson has sent an NFL round-up and listen out at the end for a phone message from friend of the show Vladimir Putin.

In other news: Nat is ill but powering through; Dan has seen Mississippi Grind and rates it; Ryan Reynolds gets a mention; Belgian and Dutch film gets a very short look-in; Nat talks muppets, an easy stretch for this show; Andy talks second educations; in the NFL the Bengals have surpassed the haters to seem like the real deal, something which will now mean they lose next week; the Colts show up this week, derailing the terrible yet otherwise winning Broncos; the Panthers are still unbeaten, as are the Pats who are the subject of a my-first-NFL chat for newbie Andy; in the NBA the Cavs lead the East; Warriors lead the west – all as expected - the Pelicans, the Nets and the 76ers have lost every game so far – so they are NOT good; in the NHL the Canadiennes replacement goalie Mike Condon is crushing it; Gary Bettman says there is no plans to expand the NHL currently, which means no-one bought Las Vegas Unlimited Buffet season tickets; loads of top-class Mancave Mailbag action; Dan brings it with a game; there’s a competition – and of course much, much more…

Americarnage #194: The Ugly Podcast

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan are known for their wide range of sporting tastes and many’s the hour they’ve whiled away considering what would happen if one sport took the methods and ethos of another. They never wrote any of it down though so they’re totally beaten by guest this week Martin Calladine whose book The Ugly Game is all about what the Premier League can learn from the NFL. Dan, as you can expect has some very particular views on that…

In other news: Dan is frisky this week, so is Mike – worrying; Nat and Martin made a COPA90 film together recently, no-one has seen it; Mike has seen a Horror Western and HdP is weirdly excited about this; Dan has a sandwich recommendation that has nothing to do with Pinocchio; Columbo is the most realistic detective show ever apparently; the NFL continues mental – Eli throws 6 TD passes and loses; Kaepernick is still terrifyingly rubbish; the Broncos are still the worst winningest team; the International Series is over for another year but don’t worry, next year they’re playing ALL the games here; the NBA season tipped off last Tuesday with a regular sight – the Cavs letting everyone down - but they’ve won every game since; Lebron became the youngest player ever to hit 25,000 career points; Tim Duncan has now broken the record for the most games for a single team; Kobe Bryant sucks; in the NHL Montreal lead the East by some distance from the Capitals, Dallas leads St Louis and Minnesota in the West; loads of Mancave Mailbag action, comp winners and indeed much, much more…

Americarnage #193: The Fullest House

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan rock up at the studio to find that they’re not alone, far from alone in fact: Olympic gold medallist Mark Hunter is in the house but also so is Nate – Carlson Jr  - so it’s the fullest house we’ve had since the 100th show...

In other news: Mark brings up a hell of a book and everyone agrees; people in Iceland have had a crisis of confidence and Dan has read about how they got their groove back; Mike talks about a Nazi legacy, definitely not his though; Nate Carlson gets his first broadcast interview and handles it adroitly – a most un-‘Carnage way of doing things; in the NFL, the in-inverted-commas athletic quarterbacks are being outrun by the old pocket-passers; is the Texans situation the most shambolic there’s ever been? The International Series game was fittingly one of two halves; Amari Cooper should be rookie of the year; Honeybadger is getting in people’s heads; in the MLB it’s World Series time and a lot of time gets devoted to the general hatred for New York teams, the Mets and, bizarrely, something called the West Ham Way; in the NHL Montreal lead the east from the New York teams. Nashville just about lead the west from Dallas and Chicago; in Anti Rantaa news, he had another solid game for the Rangers as they beat the flames; the NBA season is upon us and the pick of the games is the Cavs against the Bulls; Derrick Rose is back, after returning from his fractured eye bone; Flip Saunders has sadly passed and will be missed; Metta World Peace is back for some reason; there’s Mancave Mailbag goodness, competition winner, more competitions and much, much, much more...

Americarnage #192: Mike Gets Ahead in Advertising

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan are men who are masters of their chosen professions, men who frequently weep for there are no more worlds for them to conquer. Turns out that the Iron One may have his sights set beyond broadcasting and journalism though, does a Don Draper-esque life await him in advertising…?

In other news: Nat talks Muppets; Mike shills hard; HdP offers to lead him further down the dark path; Americarnage is on Instagram apparently, sure you all care hugely; Dan has seen Sicario and has his usual interesting take on it; Mike reveals his line to get out of any sticky situation; the NFL season continues and is on as mental form as ever and yes, we do mention the Colts; 5 unbeaten teams after 6 weeks and it’s been winning ugly week; Rivers throws for over 500 but no-one cares; Detroit beat Chicago despite neither team seeming to want to win; Mike runs down the MLB and flips more bats than you do; in the NHL, sa if anticipating the results of the Canadian election, Montreal are top of the East with 6 wins out of 6; St Louis are top of the west; in and out of the NBA Lamar Odom is out of hospital after his collapse in a Nevada brothel; the NBA Champion Golden State Warriors have signed free agent guard/forward Xavier Henry and free agent forward Chris Udofia; loads of the usual Mancave Mailbag goodness and of course much, much more….

Americarnage #191: Canada Takes the Bronze

por Me:Mo

With the Big Man on IR this week it's down to Nat and the newly-recovered Dan to get things done this week. As they glance around furtively and dare to dream of an Americarnage After Dark, who should appear to save them and everyone else from  themselves but All-Pro and now third most frequent guest, the Canadian wonder Mr Erik Janssen. Listen our for some bonus Carlson at the end of the show...

In other news: Glenn Beardon is our Mancave grand prize winner with his tweet about Iron Mike; Dan talks Red Army and Fresh off the Boat; Erik talks The Americans; Nat relays an argument the guys had backstage at Wembley and A Month of Sundays; Andy Dalton gets big-ups; Ely Manning’s position as most hated man in football just because he’s won more than Peyton continues; Kaepernick’s job security gets a quick discussion, possibly not quick enough; Nat makes a wild prediction about he Bears which he wants noted down in case it’s right in a few weeks time; the MLB playoffs are mental-exciting and Erik tells you why; the Utley incident gets a thorough discussion, along with fighting in baseball;l oads of Mancave Mailbag goodness; comps galore and much, much more...

Americarnage #190: Hollywood Dan, Podcrasher

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and special guest Paolo “The Great” Bandini arrive at the studio this week with a sense of purpose which is dimmed only by a slight sense of foreboding. There have been sightings of Hollywood back on English soil. What can this mean? They don’t have to wait long to find out…

In other news: HdP has brought a bunch of Mancave products for the guys and Mike gets a little unnecessary about it; Paolo has seen some documentaries and starts getting into that when Dan Podcrashes his way into the building; luckily there’s very little violence as he’s a little jetlagged and pleasingly squishy; Mike talks about The Crime Vault Live – his and HdP’s new show all about crime fiction; the final round for the Mancave Mystery Star Prize is beginning – exciting isn’t the word; there was NFL at Wembley in case you hadn’t noticed and it was basically the Chris Ivory show; Miami coaching job was outsourced on the way home; the Bears pick up a win; the Bengals seem shakily like a real deal at 4-0; things happen in the MLB, Nat tells you about them; loads of goodness from the Mancave Mailbag and indeed a big pile of much, much more….

Americarnage #189: Absolute Carnage

por Me:Mo

Nat and Mike are staring right down the barrel of being a gruesome twosome this week as Dan’s still hiding out in the swamps of Louisiana after a run-in with some locals who took exception to him treating the whole place like an episode of True Detective. Luckily for everyone, except maybe Dan, his old Absolute Radio buddy and Gridiron mainstay Mr Will Gavin is on hand to lend his expertise to proceedings.

In other news: Nat and Mike are back on telly - this Sunday on the BBC for the International series so if you can’t make it down, get involved with them; Mike composes songs on Twitter to Osi Umenyiora; Will rates The Martian and the gang agree the recent NASA announcement is really well timed for movie promo duties; Mike goes all arty-movie-tastic again; Nat talks Ballers and wishes it could be a bit more like Playmakers; Glenn Beardon is this week’s Mancave competition winner, coming in via the Champions Club app (check our facebook page for the download link) and gets goodies as well as entry into the grand final; Mike highlights the madness of this part of the NFL season and the undrinkable superlative-soup; Mike Vick is starting; it’s battle of the Ryans at Wembley this weekend; Brandon Marshall’s non-flea-flicker is play of the week; Jalston Fowler is the other play of the week with a painful Welcome to Big School on his second ever rushing attempt; Nat outlines the madness of the MLB right now and highlights an article by old mate Dave Lengel; loads and loads of Mancave Mailbag goodness and, with a promise of a game for next week prepared by HdP, that’s it aside from much, much, more…

Americarnage #188: Night of the Hunter

por Me:Mo

Nat and Mike are in the house and with Hollywood out of the country Mike is so keen to get things going that he crashes Nat’s intro in a new record of 3.2 seconds. Making sure the dynamic duo don’t totally kill each other though we have West Ham fan, Niners fan and, last but not least, Olympic gold medallist Mr Mark Hunter who teaches the guys about Firegazing...

In other news: Mike crashes everything; Nat talks Doll and Em; Mike has started his London Film Festival viewings which will furnish his 3 points for the next few weeks; we announce the winner of this week’s Mancave competition and tee up next week’s along with some exciting app-based stuff; Mike talks through the weirdest week of an NFL season since that time Chip Kelly traded for Cthulu; injuries abound and all bets are now off; Nat runs down the magic numbers in the MLB, including the age of the newest team manager who will make anyone who left school last century weep; Mike talks Eurobasket; there’s loads of goodness from the Mancave Mailbag and the requisite much, much more...

Americarnage #187: Regular Season Burn Time

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan roll into the studio this week with the sort of spring in their step that can only mean football is back – real, regular season, this-really-means-something-not-maybe-means-something god-damned football. So it’s back to business as usual and in that spirit, Mike crashes Nat’s intro beautifully. Ah, it’s good to be back…

In other news: college ball expert and prime mover in the UK’s only pro American Football scouting outfit Mr Matt Phillips is in the house; Mike has seen a film which prompts two major questions – is there life after death and how much nepotism is there in the movie business? Matt brings the dark arts of college football recruiting to the table; Mike tells some of his early athletic stories and they have a surprising theme; Dan brings up the Burn of the Show prize again and offers prizes – vote for the best burn of the show and be in with a chance to win something to ease the pain; the winner of the first week of the Mancave #OwnTheBathroom competition is the brilliant David Hughes who wins goodies and is through to the grand final to compete for International Series tickets; NFL is happening but Goodell isn’t in view; there are pranks; Buffalo trash Indy; Dez Bryant is out; Seattle lost to the Rams; Marcus Mariota really is quite good; MLB things are happening, Nat tells you about them; Dan goes back-to-back with NBA and NHL round-ups; the gus compete on one of the lowest-scoring games ever; loads of goodness from the Mancave Mailbag, including one slip of the tongue and of course much, much more…

Americarnage #186: ManCave NFL Season Preview

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan are fragrant individuals, although often not in the way that works out for those around them. This week though we're celebrating the beginning of a beautiful friendship, one which will not only herald the dawn of a new Mailbag but also hopefully remind the gang that real men can scrub up just a little every now and again. Yes, Americarnage is proud to be sponsored by top men's grooming range ManCave and thanks to them things are about to get even more awesome...

In other news: regular season NFL kicks off in less than 48 hours at time of recording and Football Fever is officially in town; the guys get a bit over-excited about the new sponsor and try some old schtick which is quickly stepped on; Dan follows on from Straight Outta Compton last week with Boyz n tha Hood this week, stepping back a few years; Mike talks The Crime Vault Live, his new show with HdP; Nat talks competitions - specifically getting yo' ass some International Series tickets; the gang run down their predictions for the upcoming season and these will be set in Internet Stone to be praised or scorned come Playoff time; some baseball gets talked about, mainly "how many innings does it take to destroy and arm"; Dan talks gambling in the NBA but not in the usual way; there's plenty of goodness from the newly-monikered ManCave Mailbag and a whole heaping bowlful of Much, Much More...

Americarnage #185: The Chasm of Chat

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan are back after only a week, ain't it grand rocking into the old schedule? They'll be keeping this up for at very least the next six months because they bloody love it. And the show. Aaaanyway....

In other news: It's the last ever Bodean's Mailbag folks because there's a new sheriff in town - a fine smelling one at that - in the form of Mancave and their awesome grooming products, something which needs surprisingly little explanation to the gang; prepare for much Mancave goodness over the coming months, starting next week; Mike talks French telly and its foibles; he and HdP are doing a new show this week too - Crime Vault Live and you're going to love it; Dan has seen Straight Outta Compton and has opinions about it; Nat talks about the legend Oliver Sacks; in the NBA Nick Young wants to be an Aussie; Kobe Bryant has an NBA2K16 rating of a mere 85; in the NFL Mike talks legal situations, brilliant names and starting quarterbacks so it could be pretty much any year; NHL is getting going with the NHLPA Rookie Showcase, gateway to the good stuff; Milan Lucic is the least grateful player ever to sign to the LA Kings or possibly any team; in the MLB Jake Arrieta of the Chicago Cubs threw a no-hitter against the Dodgers, his sixth this season;  the Blue Jays lead the Yankees narrowly in the AL East, the Royals are steamrolling their way to the central title, with the Astros 4 up over Texas in the central; loads of the usual goodness from the last ever Bodean's Mailbag and indeed much, much more...

Americarnage #184: It Hasn't Got a Motor or a Horse

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan stride into the studio with a swagger in their steps and it's probably because from this week on we'll be weekly again - good news for fans, bad news for Camden's bartenders as it means HdP will be kept away from his one-man mission to buy them holiday homes for at least a couple of hours a week. All this aside the gang are pleased as pucnh to be joined by sports writer extraordinairre Ed Overend who Mike has a nick-name for straight away. Guess what it is. Go on, guess...

Americarnage #183: The Great Bandini

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan are... Wait, hold up, Nat, Mike, and Dan? When the hell was it these three guys were last in a room together?! Long time ago that's for sure and boy do they prove it by wittering on for bloody ages before they get to the sport (30 minutes or so, fact-fans) but at least there is a voice of sanity and reason with them this week: freelance man of sporting letters Mr Paolo Bandini, for whom Mike already has a nick-name...

In other news: How long have you got? Paolo missed one week of picks last year and lost the whole season; Dan trails a sex game for later in the show but thank all that is Goodell it doesn't happen; the C4NFL situation is discussed; Border Security Canada will now be your new favourite show; everything else in the world is discussed; Geno Smith takes part in the most Jets thing ever to happen; in the MLB all the home teams win on the same day which is a mental stat in a game of mental stats; lots of Bodeans Mailbag goodness as usual, including wondering why it's called that; new 'Carnage listener-legend Patrick Jackson has catalogued every single three point and is worthy of both praise and therapy; HdP pops a GoPro in the studio to see what that will do and of course much, much more...

Americarnage #182: Camden Used to be Cool

por Me:Mo

Nat and Dan caper into the studio, know that Mike can't make it hits week and convinced, after last time's near-miss, that they'll get to do a 'Carnage After Dark,. Luckily for the whole world, man of the hour and All-Pro friend of the show Phil Spooner is there to keep things legal.

In other news: Nat talks about his showbiz lifestyle; Dan talks documentaries; Phil talks documentaries; they all talk documentaries; sports stuff starts arouin 20 minutes in if you want to skip; in the NFL there are deals to be done, fingers to be mended and questiopns to be asked; in the NBA it's Vegas, Free Agency and upcoming strikes; MLB is all about the All Stars and hockey is all about big deals and Canadian drugs; loads of Bodean's Mailbag goodness as usual and a game which goes so badly it's good. Much, much more too...

Americarnage #181: Before Dark But After Bedtime

por Me:Mo

Nat and Dan arrive at the studios downcast when they realised the big man isn't here this week. Then they perk up for two reasons: Marek Larwood is here and without Mike they can do a 'Carnage After Dark! Then it's pointed out that seeing as this is summer and all, no matter how late it is it's still light out there. It's ok though, there's plenty of sport to talk about, including the best sport of the 21st century...

In other news: Dan likes dismanteling Nat's air of professionalism; Marek is getting old; Dan suggests social media tactics; Nat's been trolled; Marek talks Volfsball; the NBA Draft is in the books and the Minnesota T-Wolves, via the lottery, snagged the first overall pick in their history and went for Kentucky shot swatter Karl Anthony Towns; the Cavs drafted Sir Dominc Porter, who was knighted by the queen in a private ceremony and has the best name ever ever ever; the NHL Draft has also happened at the BB&T down Florida way, and played out largely as expected - Connor Mcdavid a jinky centre from the Eerie Otters in the OHL went first overall; Edmonton took him – they take every overall first round pick and they rarely amount to much; lots of Bodeans Mailbag goodness and much, much more...

Americarnage #180: Sitting on the Dick of the Bay

por Me:Mo

The Iron One is back! And he talks quite a lot about cocks! Turns out he's doing this to assert his dominance, something he reinforces by being in the host's chair this week as Nat is on IR with a screen. Never fear though, Hollywood is in the house alongside long-time friend of the show, TV sports person extraordinaire and third Montreal Canadiennes fan Mr Erik Janssen who joins the gang in basically wondering where it all went wrong...

In other news: the guys talk karaoke for some reason; an extremely serious discussion happens in 3 points, this is rather strange; Dan has done all three of his marathons now, the last two in two weeks and massive thanks to all the 'Carnage faithful who sponsored him; The Golden State Warriors are your 2015 NBA Champions, beating Lebron James’ Cleveland Cavaliers in 6 games - it’s GSW’s fourth championship and their first in 40 years; Lebron has now made five straight finals, six overall and only won two; The Chicago Blackhawks are your Stanley Cup Champions - on Monday night Patrick Kane thumped home in Game 6 against the Tampa Bay Lightning; Gary Bettman praised the greatest dynasty of the modern age as he awarded the Cup to Duncan Keith, or did he. No – the Cup was stuck in traffic, having been kept at the airport during flash floods of the downtown area. The Cup made it 40 mins late. Bullshit. Said everyone; baseball things happen, Mike tells you about them; NFL things have happened, some of them even about football; loads of Bodean's mailbag goodness and a avcracking game which Erik chairs as Dan and Mike square off for the first time ever. all this and the requesite much, much more...

Americarnage #179: After Dark, After All

por Me:Mo

The Big Man is out of town this evening so Nat and Dan rock up to the studio eager and prepared to go all After Dark when who should arrive but star of stage and screen as well as one of the finest stand-ups on the circuit Mr Jarred Christmas! He soon proves that this is going to be an After Dark After All...

Dan get offended by lots of things but nowhere near as offended as young people these days; Jarred reveals a strange relation to bacon; the ratio of Hitler documentaries vs. Stalin documentaries gets a heavy going-over; NFL is pretty quiet but this doesn't stop a once-over including domestic violence, rule breaking and crowd noise being pumped into stadia - pretty much like the regular season then; NHL-wise, in the East it’s last year’s beaten finalist New York Rangers against the Tampa Bay Lightning, who tragically beat the Montreal Canadiens, causing Dan and Mike to lose interest in the Stanley Cup for another year; in the NBA one Conference Final is over, one is about to be… the 2015 NBA Championship will be between, oh why don’t you just be patient; the West is the Golden State Warriors, who closed out against the Memphis Grizzlies in 6, and the Houston Rockets, who made it back from 3-1 and two of the worst performances in NBA history, to beat the LA Clippers in 7; Dan brings back Malett's Mallet but with a twist and it's awesome; loads of Bodean's Mailbag goodness and much, much more...

Americarnage #178: Dismantle Your Echo Chamber

por Me:Mo

Nat is on IR with an office (don't ask) so Mike slips into the silky seat of ultimate power and hosts the hell out of this week's show. Dan rocks up to help and the guys are joined by All-Pro Man of Many Sports Phil Spooner who brings up an extremely valid modern social point, although mainly because he lost money...

In other news: Phil is upset about something called cricket but doesn't want to talk about it; some general election stuff gets talked about but only in passing; Dan talks documentaries and socail media; Mike talks box-sets; deflate-gate is a load of... puns mainly - bad ones; the draft gets some deconstruction and Dan reckons his Colts have made their offence too good; in the NHL the Western Conference final will be Blackhawks and Ducks in a very one sided set of ornithological conference semis;  in the East it’s game 7 between the Rangers and the Capitals tonight and game 6 between the Lightning and the Canadiens; in the NBA Conference semi finals Atlanta and Washington have been going back and forth for the last week; Nat sends an MLB round-up in but HdP folds to popular pressure and lets Mike read it; loads of Bodean's Mailbag goodness, 15% more nonsense and much, much more...

Americarnage #177: Do You Remember the Second Time?

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan have been missing you guys, especially seeing as HdP has been keeping them away from you with his sordid "hey guys, got to finish building the studio, y'know" antics. The good news is threefold: it's draft day's eve, draft expert Matt Phillips is in the house and the guys remenisce about the second time they ever did t hings with a lady. No, I didn't want to know either...

In other news: Nat and Mike had a classy lunch together and it turns out Mike has a cocktail named after him; Dan says the word 'hubris' in the best way ever; Matt brings some Steinbeck to the table; Dan lays the moral side of his life bare, it's horrible; Matt delivers a cracking NFL draft round-up; Mike runs a mock draft; the Ducks sweep the Jets; the Canadiennes are 3 up; social media smack-talk gets an outing; baseball is more than back, it's back on the show and Nat runs you through the important bits; the NBA play-offs are properly underway and the Raptors are getting wailed on even after being dropped; Kevin Love has a deeply horrible injury which is hard enough to say, let alone have; loads of good stuff from the Bodean's Mailbag and of course, much, much more...

Americarnage #176: It Burns Quite Badly

por Me:Mo

Mike and Dan assemble in the secret underground lair to go over their plans for world domination and how they're usually ruined when HdP gets drunk and loses the key to the CarnageTank or something* when who should rock up but a man who has the whole world domination thing sorted - people just give him all the shit he could possibly need - Mr Ben Isaacs!

In other news: Dan accepts gifts from people who accept gifts from companies and is conflicted in more than one way; Ben buys something with his own money and boy does it feel good; Dan talks documentaries you need to see; Mike talks the movies of Jason Statham and the guys get surprisingly excited; March Madness is over and Mike tells you all about it; FIghtMadness is also over and we have a winner - listen to find out folks; a rare quiet week in the NFL means just drugs charges and murder trials to compete with the beginnings of draft-frenzy; NHL is coming to the sharp end of the season and it's all abit mental; NBA is coming to the sharp end of the season and it's a bit boring - well, less mental than hockey but them's the breaks; lots of fun in the Bodean's Mailbag and the requisite much, much more...

*There is no CarnageTank, go back to sleep and dream happy dreams which don't involve a thousand foot high war machine implanted with Rex Ryan's brain.

Americarnage #175: The Las Vegas Unlimited Buffets

por Me:Mo

Nat and Mike get to the studio to find two things which please them greatly - HdP's microphone is broken and Dan hasn't arrived yet. They plough straight in then have to do that 'aw, hey buddy, you made it...' thing when Dan rocks up and HdP talks anyway.

In other news: Nat's kids pretend-phone Mike; Mike talks sitcom actors on stage; NFL things happen but less that usual - a rare drop off the radar for the 365-league; March Madness is getting good - you guys have the ESPN player, right...? Dan talks basketball pros and some hockey, including a deeply prescient look at how the Las Vegas team's crowds will be procured; there's a strangely high-brow game which gets low-brow quickly; loads of Bodean's Mailbag goodness, plust the requesite much, much more...

Americarnage #174: Biscuity March Madness

por Me:Mo

In other news: talk turns quickly to NCAA basketball and Dan has an opinion on this; Mike talks World War 1 and Nat talk Spongebob, making Mike jealous as he didn't get to see the movie; apparently we've got the balance about right; lots of sports things happen, listen to find out about them; #fightmadness is still going and hilarious; loads of Bodean's Mailbag goodness and indeed much, much more...

Also, please do sign up to the ESPN player using the promo code podcast2015 to be in with a chance of winning an awesome telly.

Americarnage #173: All-Pro Canadiarnage

por Me:Mo

Nat and Mike are so sad that Dan isn't here this week that they plain forget to celebrate, something which is very strange indeed until you realise that all-pro 'Carnage favourite and master of all things sporting MR Erik Janssen is in the house and his hypnotic presence has the guys enraptured...

In other news: for some reason the budget gets discussed; Erik is in fact a creepy step-relation but has the world's greatest collection of sports crap in his attic; NFL free agency keeps happening and ther's a hell of a lot to get through; defences have been the main winners but don't stand still near Chip Kelly, he'll trade you; we talk to our mate Andrew Joseph in Arixzona about March Madness; then we talk about more March Madness and #FightMadness; Erik does hockey, then tests the hell out of Nat and Mike with the first ever guest-made game. Bodeans mailbag of course and much, much more...

Also, make sure you keep heading to www.espnplayer.com/espnplayer/ncaa
...to sign up for the ESPN player and catch all the March Madness games live or on demand. Code podcast2015 in the promo box puts you in with a chance of winning a telly so awesome Mike can't conceive of its abilities...

Americarnage #172: March Birthday Madness, Baby!

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan are ageless creatures who exist not like normal human beings, sustained by food and drink, rather they are driven on by the power of sports punditry (plus maybe a little Jamesons here and there) but they do still celebrate the anniversary of their coming to this plane of existance. This week there's much to celebrate with an Iron Birthday, the beginning of March Madness and some very special news from our friends at ESPN...

In other news: Phil (da?) Producer's in the house and has been talking to Russel Brand; Mike has the joke box, this is obvious immediately; it's national Punch A Producer week and the gang seem strangely keen to take part; Mike talks Wolf Hall; Dan is running several marathons for charity, he's very runny these days; lots of NFL free agency stuff; some hockey things; March Madness is very nearly here and we're so excited we got Andrew Joseph, sports supremo from The Arizona Republic to lay it our for you; if that wasn't enough we've hooked up with ESPN to offer you the best way to watch all that good stuff on the ESPN Player and win a telly too...! I know, we're far too good to you. There is of course much, much more but you knew that, right?

Americarnage #171: Joke Box Oscars

por Me:Mo

Nat's on IR this week so Mike slips into the host's chair with the ease of a man passing a joke box. Amazingly enough, he has his joke box with him, something which amazes and delights both Dan and man of the hour and Sport Creator Mr Marek Larwood.

In other news: Dan has run a long way; the show is going weekly again for a while - March Madness basically, thanks to ESPN and the ESPN Player (remember this plug, you will need to love it); films get discussed in surprising range and sensitivity but don't worry, it won't happen again; franchise time has happened and there were very few surprises; basketball is happening and Kobe got kicked in the dick; NCAA basketball is happening and you need to get involved; in the NHL the Canadienes are doing surprisingly well, much to Mike and Dan's delight; an Oscar post-mortem (we're well current) and much, much more...

Americarnage #170: Oscar the Grouch Picks

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan are well known for their film knowledge and seeing as we're in the grip of awards season they tackle the big question: what if Oscar the Grouch was nominated, but didn't win...?

In other news: Mike talks poetry; Dan talks Stephen Hawking sex; Nat talks SNL and the debate spins on to difficult territory; Mike busks a round-up but does surprisingly well talking all about the hired and fired in the NFL; Dan uses a script and somehow does worse; the All-Star game is officially shit, but we've known that for years; actual Oscar picks happen; loads of Bodean's mailbag goodness including possibly our favourite email ever and much, much more...

Americarnage #169: All-Pro Super Bowl Hangover

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan are all in one place for the second week in a row (a record for 2015) to witness the much-lamented return of HdP from his Nicaraguan adventures. They don't let this get in the way of a good old fashioned Super Bowl dissection so there's still a reason to listen...

In other news: Big thanks for Ann for keeping the good ship 'Carnage on a fine course; Dan talks miscarriage of justice documentaries; Mike makes all take pause using a Hemmingway story; Nat talks Springsteen-related things - who knew he liked the guy?!; Osi Umenora is a Katy Perry fan, Gethen failed to get her number for him; Mike runs down XLIX so no need to say any more here; in the NBA, Atlanta lead the East; Golden State lead the West; Atlant's streak broke on the unlikely shoulder of the New Orleans Pelicans; Kobe news: still injured. But is going to be in an HBO doc called ‘A Legend Unguarded’; Tampa Bay lead the East from Montreal; while Nashville have finally displaced Anaheim as the leaders of the West; the league is all about Peel Gate - on Monday the NHL suspended controversial referee Tim Peel, not for the several bad calls he has made recently, but because he met Puck Daddy’s Greg Wyshinksi in a Manhattan bar, and posed drinking tequila the night before the game; loads of Bodean's Mailbag goodness; a game which works surprisingly well and much, much more...

Americarnage #166 : Back to College

In other news: Dan gets showered with gifts; the guys chat balls with deflate-gate; you can join in on Dan's Oscars game; and maybe you'll be seeing Americarnage on Tinder soon.

Americarnage #167: Sit Down Comedy

por Me:Mo

This week Nat and Mike (still no Hollywood Dan) are joined by stand up comedian James Shakeshaft, who gets us up to speed on Japanese baseball. We've got chat about deflate-gate, Seattle v Greenbay, and some British soccer.

In other news: Nat gets a new Springsteen album; Harry's still lost in Nicaragua; the team discuss podcasts; and Mike's been watching French films again.

Americarnage #165: A Changing of the Guard

por Me:Mo

Nat and Mike are all hopped up on christmas cheer this week and it has nothing to do with the fact that Hollywood is on IR with a knee. No, they're stoked to find that for the next few weeks while HdP is on his drug-muling duties in central America they will be being produced by AdP - Ann the (da?) Producer...

In other news: Mike knows numbers when they're read to him; Nat wants to hear where you listen to the show. Nothing shady, promise; Mike watches another film, it's like he's some sort of journalist or something; Manziel starts a game, did you hear?; the Jets can't even tank a season properly; lots of other things happen, if I told you all about them here you wouldn't listen to the show, right? The show where there is much, much more...

Americarnage #164: Four Years Old - Now Stop Pissing Yourself

por Me:Mo

Four years and a few months ago, soon-to-be Hollywood Dan met Nat and Mike and said 'I love it when you guys work together, let's do a podcast' and they said yes. Then Dan called the only audio guy he knew who works for tennants super and Americarnage was born! That was four years ago and it's frankly amazing it's lasted this long. Loads of great questions; HdP prepares a Twit or Twat for the guys and of course there's much, much more...

Americarnage #162: Happy Volfsball-giving!

por Me:Mo

Nat and Mike are sportsmen of great and varied prowess, always seeking the fresh challenge and ready to give their all to triumph in a new arena. These past years they have wept, for there were no more worlds left to conquer as no new popular sport has been invented in a hundred years. This was only because Marek Larwood had yet to invent... Volfsball!

Unless you head to the Number 1 Sports Bar in Old Street, London, England to catch Iron Mike presenting some tasty NFL action; Marek elucidates the principals and heritage of Volfsball; Nat talks films and stuff; Mike talks telly and things; NFL coaches have had a rubbish week - Mike Smith and Rex Ryan in particular; RGIII should totally go to the Vikings to make the circle complete; Odell Beckham caught the ball or something; baseball gets a look-in this week; Marek talks basketball and Mike talks hockey, in between plenty of quality action from the Bodean's Mailbag and of course much, much more...

Americarnage #161: Sexy Serial Killers

Americarnage #160: Rum vs. Cough Mixture

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan are men of distinction with refined tastes to match. Luckily Browns fan and master of rum Mr Paul McFadyen is on this show this week and brings the gang a treat which is beyond even their high standards. Except Dan who shuns the booze in favour of shotgunning bottles of covonia under the table...

In other news: Paul talks sport, Mike talks novels, Dan nearly has fights and Nat talks Counting Crows - which one do you think got the best reaction? Dez Bryant slays the London Jaguars; the Packers trample the Bears; Carson Palmer has a big pile of money and no season left; Mark Sanchez doesn't do most of the things attributed to him; in the NBA, Toronto lead the East - yes, Toronto! – from Chicago and Miami; Memphis lead the West from Houston and Golden State; Kobe Bryant now has the most missed shots in NBA history; NHL-wise Tampa Bay lead the east from Montreal who are making a minor comeback with three straight wins and Vancouver lead the West after Anaheim lost three straight in Overtime; loads of Bodeans Mailbag goodness; lots of drinky goodness and much, much more...

Americarnage #159: You Are Being F****d by a Donkey

por Me:Mo

As regular listeners may have noticed over the years, Nat, Mike and especially Dan like to say things occasionally which might not be to everyone's taste. The sort of things you probably wouldn't drop into conversations with your parents, your partner or indeed the Marques de Sade. This week is no different in that respect except Dan's found a list of unique insults from around the world and made a game out of them. So, y'know, you were warned.

In other news: it's fireworks night so Mike blows up Nat's intro; Dan loves a boaster; Mike talks Dylan; Nat talks cartoons; Dan talks documentaries; in the NFL, the Pats answer the critics; the Steelers are copying their scores and Big Ben is throwing mental scores; the Rams edge out the niners; the Saints lead the south; Buffalo seem relevant, this scares everyone; in baseball the World Series gets its post-mortem, seeing as our recording dates are eerily crap for the way that's gone; basketball is happening again and all anyone can talk about is Lebron; in Miami the Heat shot out to a three game winning streak thanks mainly to Chris Bosh, who stepped out from Lebron’s shadow; in slapshot land, Pittsburgh leads the East from Tampa Bay and Montreal, Anaheim still lead the west from Vancouver and bloody Calgary; loads of Bodeans Mailbag goodness; Dans insult game and much, much more...

Americarnage #158: DJ Ray, Who Are You?

por Me:Mo

Nat and Mike have brains like the finest Swiss clocks - constructed by master craftsmen, honed to perfection and capable of the finest divisions imaginable. It's this level of intellect that allows them to work out that Dan isn't here this week because SPurs are playing and the man with them in the studio is none other than all-pro 'Carnage college ball expert Mr Ben Isaacs.

In other news: Americarnage gets downloaded lots of places, maybe even North Korea; Wembley was a great game but the weirdness pitchside was almost as good - anyone know who DJ Ray is? Ben talks Wembley hospitality; Mike's been watching Neighbours. He says it's something else but it's from Australia so it's got to be Neighbours; Nat gets more email from shady places and watches a film that's currently showing, which is odd; more NFL goodness than you can shake a rather large stick at; MLB stuff which will be out of date by the time you hear it but is great reference material anyway; Ben talks college ball; NHL fighty stuff happens; NBA is off again and we love it; loads of Bodeans Mailbag goodness and much, much more...

Americarnage #157: Fantasy... Dinner Party?

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan are cultured individuals with the sort of address books which would make royalty feel a bit out of the loop, so when the question of who they'd have at their ideal dinner party comes up they of course come out with some of the finest suggestions...

In other news: Hallow'een outfits are discussed because, y'know, adults; Dan read a book he bought at the airport, it's better than most things you find there; Mike's been at the London Film Festival and has picked out some goodies; Nat, true to form, talks about a film from several years ago; 509 week in the NFL as Peyton once again proves he's probably the best there ever was; the Cowboys run over the Giants; the Packers smath the Panthers; Indy humiliate the Bengals; the Wembley game gets talked over and let's just hope it ain't a walk-over; in the NHL the Candiens lead the East from Tanpa Bay and Anahgeim lead the West from Nashville; Detroit are angry about the goal Pavelk Datsuyk socred that was rubbed off because of alleged interference on Habs goalie Carey Price; the World Series is going and the games are good but the names are better; the NBA has signed a huge new TV deal extension with Tunrer Broadcasting for 9 years and is three times the size of the  existing one – 2.66 bn a year compared to a measly 930 million; loads of great Bodeans Mailbag goodness and much, much more...

Americarnage #156: Inexplicably Arrives on a Motorcycle

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan are back in an all-pro line-up after last week's terrible fail. To make up for it they've crammed 46% more references into this week's show, something as useless as it is unprovable...

In other news: Dan pioneers movie reviews through noises; it's Lynch vs. Fincher and we all know who's going to come out on top there; Nat gets needlessly aggressive; Mike goes to film festivals; in the NFL, everybody loves Pat McAfee and not just for his virus-control properties; Kap can throw things occasionally; there's a tied game and the entire of America goes mental with anguish; Romo hasn't choked... Yet; the NHL season is underway and the LA Kings paraded the Stanley Cup around the Staples Centre then got whupped by the Sharks; the NBA has a new TV deal for the GDP of several small countries and already a lot of star players *cough, Lebron, cough* are acting like a-holes about money; loads of Bodeans Mailbag goodness, loads of references (or did we mention that already?) and much, much more...

Americarnage #155: Fire Your Dad and Hire Denis Leary

por Me:Mo

With Nat on IR this week the Iron One slides into the hosts chair just in time to witness Dan's glorious return from the states and Phil (da Producer) Spooner's glorious return from, um, Stratford and the discussion immediately turns to Scottish independence. Y'know, cos we keep it current. Then we get to Draft Day and all gets better...

In other news: Phil has a nostalgic experience, Dan talks charming crackheads - these two things are related; Mike talks Draft Day; more NFL fun than you can shake a challenge flag at, including the International Series' first coach-sacking; Dallas look surprisingly good; the Pats look creaky as hell; Indy look good; Tampa surprise; NHL preseason is well and truly underway. Jeff Carter nabbed a hat trick in the King’s Preseason game against the Ducks; NBA press day saw Kobe let both barrels lose on former Lakers coach Mike D’Antononi; Phil makes a very fine point on this; one-game playoffs in the MLB feel strange; loads of Bodeans goodness and of course, much, much more...

Americarnage #154: Always Spaghetti on Wednesdays

por Me:Mo

Nat and Mike are back in the house and for the second week running Mike has taken some of the work off HdP's hands and names the show right up front, a much appreciated thing. Along with that good news is the even better news that All-Pro friend of the show Ben Isaacs is in town to tell us all about College ball, the Bears and the hardships of being an all-round sports journalistic leg-end...

In other news: Mike's mum (mom?) made great spaghetti sauce; Ben gives top Wembley travel tips for this Sunday; oh yeah, there's a game at Wembley this Sunday...! Nat and Mike will be there, so will Ben and many other friends of the show - points if you spot one and get a photo with them; Nat talks doggy savings; Maurice Claybourne gets mentioned and thank all that is good that he stayed or we'd be out about 1.4 of our material; loads of good NFL stuff; some baseball, promies; College football goodness and the usual fine array of Bodeans Mailbag goodness, pluss of course much, much more...

Americarnage #153: Mike Says ScottiCarnage

por Me:Mo

Nat and Mike are doing a two-hander this week as Hollywood's in the States, innit? Overcoming his initial trepidation about allowing the two of them to work together without Dan's calming influence, HdP hits record, turns down the volume on the studio monitors and relaxes with a nice bottle of red.

In other news: Mike does ALL the three points, including a reading; Nat's new favourite actor is Lindsey Lohan - fact; there's some sort of referendum as to whether Edinburgh gets an NFL franchise or something - we're sure it'll turn out for the best; lots of stuff appears to be happening in the NFL and some of it is even on the pitch, so that's nice; Mike takes basketball and the tail end of the MLB season is upon us so that gets a look-in too; loads of Bodeans Mailbag goodness and much, much more...

Americarnage #152: Bad British Sports Commentary...?

por Me:Mo

Nat and Dan are back in Camden and Mike appears to have vanished since Sunday. Luckily for them but sadly for fans of the After Dark spin-off not one but two fine gentlemen also turn up - recently-minted All-Pro (minus gold jacket) friend of the show David Whitney and new friend of the show Anthony Richardson, a writer and comedian whose prolific output includes... Bad British Sports COmmentary. Seemed like a win to us...

In other news: lots of Way Wice; lots of the New York Football Giants; loads of good stuff from the Bodeans Mailbag; a great game from Dan and much, much, much more...

Americarnage #151: Sunday Night 'Carnage

por Me:Mo

Nat and Mike needed a bit of a shake-down tour ahead of the return of the Sunday night Channel 4 game so they arranged for Dan to have a work thing which kept him out of the studio this week while they run down the upcoming season. This means, as it often does, that HdP talks more than he usually does or ever should. You have been warned.

In other news: Nat talks Counting Crows; Mike talks documentaries; HdP gets his first ever Three Point; total run-down of the season ahead in the NFL with predictions, arguments, opinions, opinions, more opinions and loads of good questions fom the Bodeans Mailbag. The season starts here and we'll have much, much more...

Americarnage #150: Nat Gets Younger Every Year

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan are... Wait, what? Holy shit! Seems like we've got a full house for the first time in Cutler knows how long, something which can only mean one thing: disagreement and plenty of it. All of this on Nat's birthday and he hates it when his two dads fight...

In other news: Mike has been in a New Hampshire and tells us about that; Dan has bought a car and tells us about that; Nat talks about the comeback of The Comeback; NFL Preseason has told us lots of things so the guys talk about those; some hilarious things have happened in basketball, Dan talks about those; baseball gets a look-in but will get more soon, promise; loads of good stuff from the Bodeans Mailbag and much, much more...

Americarnage #149: The Problem With... Never Mind.

por Me:Mo

Nat and Dan are getting into the swing of pre-season and have decided to talk about it, record the results and put it on the internet. They have vague memories of doing this before but with someone else too so are over the moon when an extremely funny man who's a big fan of the New York Giants comes to the studio too. His name is David Whitney and they like him a lot.

In other news: The show gets offered yet more advertising products, Nat cannot control his excitement at this; David talks booze and why you should love it; Dan talks about a time when he wished no-one had drunk a thing then the discussion turns to how to keep the right side of pissed on those long stints*; Johnny Football is a very naughty boy; Brian Orakpo, who had been mockingly doing Manziel’s ‘money’ symbol every thime he threw the ball away, said the gesture was hilarious; Jadeveon Clowney showed why he was first pick overall and he decimated the Atlantas running game; nothing in the NBA but Team USA beat Brazil in an exhibition game in Chicago, Derrick Rose returned, Anthony Davis put up 20 plus 4 blocks and 7 rebounds, KD pulled out and the team wore jerseys in support of Paul George; loads of Bodeans Mailbag goodness; a discussion on how to improve shit jokes and much, much more...

*Americarnage does not endorse all-day drinking, mainly because we're lightweights.

Americarnage #148: Robin Williams, We Miss You

por Me:Mo

Nat and Dan are picky devils when it comes to guests on the show, even more so when Mike is out of the country and they're missing the big man. Anyone joining them has to be drenched in sports, a rare combination of insightful, funny and self-aware and ideally an old mate to boot. This week they've got Erik' the producer' Janssen so it's up to you how many of those boxes have been ticked... *

In other news: the guys unavoidably talk about the sad death of the great Robin Williams; the show continues to get marketing emails from random companies which cause Nat to very nearly piss himself with laughter; big shout out to listener Chris Young who's busy kicking chemo's arse right now. All power and respect to you Chris from all of Americarnage; the guys talk best broadcasting experiences and needlessly emphasize what O.B means about a hundred times; the first week of the pre-season is in the books and if the season ended today the new York Jets would win the Super Bowl; in Cleveland Johnny Football looks set to start their second game against the Pats. Against Detroit he went 7 of 11 for 63 yards and rushed for 27. The NFL Network also broke pre-season TV rating; Kevin Love officially plays for the Minnesota Timberwolves - Cleveland is making the deal with Minnesota with a firm agreement Love will opt out of his contract in 2015 and re-sign with the Cavaliers; loads of baseball goodness; loads of Bodeans Mailbag goodness; a great 80's sitcom music game from Dan and much, much more...

*HdP has his strange 'other producer' rage going on again it seems. He needs to get over this.

Americarnage #147: Clumsy Point-Proving

por Me:Mo

Mike and Dan rock up in Camden with a swing in their step and joy in their heart for a couple of reasons - the big man is BACK after far too long away for one and for the other, incontravertable proof that HdP is a gullable twat always right.

In other news: The guys are joined by the busiest and most attractive man in sports production, Big Phil da Producer who tells us all about Brazil; Dan talks books; Mike talks boxed sets vs old-school film production; HdP's arrogance is shown to all; the baseball hall of fame get a proper discussion; the NFL's approach to suspensions gets covered, so does domestic violence but in a surprisingly delicate way; loads of great Bodeans Mailbag goodness; a spelling game from Dan which causes deep hilarity and much, much more...

Oh, and no editing happened, it was just like this first time round. Honest.

Americarnage #146: Short Staffed Holiday Season

por Me:Mo

Summer is a strange time, a time when three of the four big sports are taking a break and so do the 'Carnage crew, hence a bit of a gap since the last show. Mike's still taking that break so Nat and Dan shine the Americarnage symbol in the sky over north London and, like a caped crusader who has no cape and doesn't believe in invading the Holy Land, Marek Larwood answers the call.

In other news: Dan saw Monty Python and was moderately impressed; Tim Westwood makes his first reference-appearance on the show and does not fare well; Marek went to see the London Blitz humiliate their opponents the other day; Nat talks books; it happened a while ago but LeBron really is going back to Cleveland; Donald Sterling has filed a second lawsuit against the NBA – this one for corporate fraud but this just makes it better that his shares might get sold to ex-Microsoft man Steve Ballmer; in the NHL the Toronto Maple Leafs have hired a 28 year old AGM; in the MLB the American League won the All-Star game and it was basically all about Jeater; the trade window closes in a week or so and all eyes are on our new favourite name: Philles Bastardo; NFL-wise Tony Dungy is in hot water because he says he wouldn’t have drafted Michael Sam, because of all that goes “with it”; Michael Sam no longer has the best selling jersey – turns out its Biber loving money worshipping Johnny Manziel; the Madden 15 QB ratings are out. Peyton is 98 overall, so is Rodgers, but now Brady is behind Russell Wilson. What? Loads of Bodeans Mailbag goodness, Dan comes up with a classicly lacist game (just listen to it, alright?) and much, much more...

Americarnage #145: After Dark

por Me:Mo

Nat and Dan drag their sorry arses into the studio to try to fill the void left by the Big Man who's AWOL this week because of reasons, they're good ones but they're not good enough to excuse the fact that HdP finds more gaps in the flow to pipe up with his own ill-informed opinions. Serious big man, we need you back. It does however mean, this is an Americarnage After Dark...

In other news: the sales folks who seem to have got hold the 'Carnage email address bring more genius correspondence; The World Soccer Cup gets mentioned but only very briefly and Nat's show is a part of it; Dan rags on the Taiwanese for the first time - pretty random but every nation gets its turn; he then explains phone hacking; the NBA season is over the so is the draft and for the second year running the Cleveland Cavs had the furst overall pick; after wasting last year’s selection on the underwhelming Anthony Bennett, they went for Kansas’ Canadian wunderkind Andrew Wiggins;the NHL draft has happened too and Gary Bettman got booed every time him stepped forward - “I love your passion” he told the crowd and the Flyers fans shouted “sucks” after every team name that wasn’t the Flyers; NFL-wise, Aldon Smith is not going to jail for the bomb threats he allegedly made at LAX in April; charges have been dropped and he now has gun and drink dirivng charges to be heard on 25th July, the day after 49ers camp begins; loads of Bodeans Mailbag goodness; a game relating to the Driving Theory test gets played, it may or may not be a high point, and much, much more...

Americarnage #144: Where the Hell Were We?

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan find themselves in unfamilar surroundings - someone has positioned microphones in front of them and, from through a small double-glased window, some sort of tramp appears to be pressing buttons and adjusting faders. Suddenly it all snaps back! They're in Camden and it's time to dothe first 'Carnage in rather too long! Thankfully, help them through what could otherwise be a shakey evening, it's friend of the show and master of cocktails Mr Paul McFadyen. Then Dan leaves half way through. What the f$%*?!

In other news: Dan goes to a documentary festival and becomes more of a wanker apparently; Paul mentions the world cup a little before 7 minutes in but luckily they keep it to a minimum; Mike reccomends telly things; Nat plugs his really rather good footy show for the Guardian (watch it watch it watch it); then there's loads of good NBA, NHL and NFL action as the guys look towards a time very soon where there will be only baseball and the Bodeans Mailbag, plus much, much more of course...

Americarnage #143: First Lady Don't Share

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan are overjoyed to be back together for the first time in what seems like an age (or precisely 'one restraining order' according to our lawyers) but immediately get back into the swing of things, crashing each other's intro's, Mike using the laugh-box, Nat presenting things which went out with the Ark and all that good stuff. As if that's not enough, we've only got the First Lady of Americarnage too, Ms Kelly-Anne Lyons - hell of a fine week folks, hell of a fine week.

In other news: Dan warns everyone he's going to be late, this does not save him from retribution; Kelly gets a new name, some mild misogyny which she shrugs off pretty well and then reveals her stance on other women coming on the show; they all work out that the show could help rescue the careers of recently disgraced celebs; loads of sports stuff has happened since last week, we talk about that; you guys sent in loads of great questions, we talk about those too. Plus of course much, much more...

Americarnage #142: H.P Lovedraft

por Me:Mo

The big man is back! Mike's trip to R'lyeh America is done and dusted and he can't wait to get into some draft goodness and/or destroying the human race, whichever is easier. This fills Nat with such dread that he completely fails to make it to the studio mucttering something about filming somewhere called Innsmouth, sure that'll work out well. Sliding into the seat between Irony Carlson and the man who is Dan is all-pro 'Carnage guest, luckiest man in journalism and attendee at this year's draft, Mr Ben Isaacs.

In other news: Mike's intro leaves Dan a little flummoxed; expenses get discussed - turns out Mike was great at them back in the day but Ben is getting pretty close; Dan read a book about the world of London homelessness in the 70's. It's mental, you should read it too; Ben read a book which is the sort of makey-learny True Detective but still awesome for all that; loads of draft stuff gets discussed; these NBA playoffs keep on getting better, if you haven't been following up until now FOR THE LOVE OF GOD START NOW; the NHL playoffs are pretty damn cool too and, for one, more about skill than escalating violence - amazing; loads of Bodeans Mailbag goodness and much, much more...

Americarnage #141: Nat and Dan's Two-Hander

por Me:Mo

With the Big Man still Stateside Nat and Dan arrive at the studio to find that neither they nor HdP have sorted a guest this week, someone to help fill the aching void that Irony Mike Carlson leaves in their lives. Then they realise that they've never done a show, y'know, just the two of them, so maybe this could be the start of something beautiful...

In other news: it's not;

In more other news: The Breakfast Club in Islington can forget that sponsorship deal; Nat tells a story about a beverage he bought; Dan talks about GTA and Senna; there's just a little Iron goodness as Mike sends a three point AND and NFL round-up; all Dan's predictions about the NBA playoffs were wrong, hear how wrong; the draft gets taken very very seriously; HdP isn't listening to a thing Dan says during the NHL round-up... or is he? No; loads of Bodeans Mailbag goodness; loads of back-referenced goodness and much, much more...

Americarnage #140: Pappy Dan is Real?!

por Me:Mo

After a bit of a break caused by a combination of things (yes, HdP lost the keys to the studio and went on a three-week haribo binge to try to drown his sorrows) Nat and Dan rock up in Camden to find three things have happened: Mike is still away, the fabulous Mr Marek Larwood has turned up and finally that Pappy Dan is real and owns the LA Clippers...

In other news: Dan ran a marathon or something; Marek talks films; racism gets discussed a bit, for a change; the 2014 NBA playoffs are go and the Pacers held off the Heat for first spot in the East; the Hawks beat out the resurgent Knicks for the last spot; in the West the Spurs finished first, setting up a match up with Dalla; OKC set up a match up with last year’s conference finalists the Grizzlies; in the run-up the NFL draft we know some of these things: Earl Thomas is now the highest paid safety in the NFL; Cj2k is a New York Jet; Aldon smith has been arrested again; Johnn Manziel is going to Bucs; NHL-wise, in the East the Montreal Canadiens swept the Tampa Bay Lightning, who were in the playoffs for the first time since 2011; out West the Ducks went back and forth with the Dallas Stars, but with Ryan Getzlaff looking like a Hart Trophy winner, Anaheim took it in 6; elsewhere, with Malkin and Crosby again leading the line the Penguins beat out the Columbus Blue Jackets in 6; they’ll play the winners of New York Philadelphia, which is 3-2 going into tonights game 6; loads of Bodeans Mailbag goodness; Dan makes up some more characters who may or may not ocme true and much, much more...

Americarnage #139: Crosse Promotional Activity

por Me:Mo

Nat and Dan arrive in Camden a little bit sad as the Iron one is off this week but also really rather glad because the legend of American sports broadcasting that is Simon Crosse has come to play, having recently survived Sotchi and all its brilliance, and immediately plugs the new 'Carnage merchandise. He can stay they reckon, no matter HdP's usual producer-rage...

In other news: it used to be a LOT harder to find out sports results, be thankful future-people; a few more details of the crapness of Russian preparation come via Simon; American sportscasters love to grab each other's bums - FACT; Dan supports UK pro basketball and so should you; Nat talks Mickey Rooney; there's a bit of Iron Goodness as the big man sends in a round-up; lots of NFL chat, lots of MLB chat, even more NBA and NHL chat. Who'd have thought? Loads of great stuff in the Bodeans Mailbag and much, much, more...

Americarnage #138: The Camden Spurs

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan are jubilant this week, for two very good reasons: Firstly, there have been not one but THREE opening days for baseball and the season is away and swinging. Secondly, they're joined by a man who not only has an encyclopedic knowledge of them damned (New York) Yankees, but who also played some fine fine football for Hollywood's beloved Premiership team. Ladies and gentlement, put your hands together for mister Chris Perry.

In other news: Mike attempts an April Fool, the guys are sarcastically appreciative of it; Dan is preparing for the marathon by carrying around cake; Dan's Zombie approach to fantasy MLB once again garners comment, but not much at all, promise; Mike talks Belgian detectives; one idea for a segment is floated and should not be done; another idea for a slot is floated and in fact turns up after the credits so of course doesn't count towards out Offensiveness Quotient; Chris brings up a Sith Lord running for president; Nat talks Lee Steinberg but hasn't read the book yet; loads and loads of MLB is talked, tune in to find out how much; we're into the last ten games of the NBA regular season and after a long hard season of chasing the Pacers, the Miami Heat are back on top of the Eastern Conference; in the West the Spurs have all but tied up first seed after 18 straight wins, although OKC and the Clippers are both on tears of their own; the Pacers are in an absolute tailspin; in the hockey, Boston lead the East and are joined in the playoffs by Pittsburgh; in the West St Louis narrowly have the top seed from Anaheim, although San Jose Colorado and last year’s champs Chicago are already there; plenty of NFL stuff; loads of Bodeans Mailbag goodness and much, much more...

Americarnage #137: Don't Mention Fantasy Baseball

por Me:Mo

So it's stickball season once again and if there's one thing the at Nat, Mike and Dan love it's a bit of fantasy MLB. Well, ok, that may be a bit of an exaggeration but boy do they have things to say about it, mainly Mike...

In other news: Mike does a partial strip-tease, Nat and Dan are surprisingly impressed with the results but doubt its punctuation; Mike talks auto-drafts; Dan was in Portugal last week, this gets strangely little comment; the selecting of teams for folks gets serious and we're exporting rather than importing this week; Nat talks Sports Illustrated; but three weeks of the NBA season left and Indiana still lead the East, now up 4 games on the falterming Miami Heat; San Antonio lead the West after an unimpeachable 13 game streak that OKC in their tracks; don’t nobody care about winners no mo’, it’s about the LOSERS - the Philadelhpia 76ers were widely believed to be tanking the season when they signed the injured rookie Nerlens Noel who still hasn’t played for them and are now on an amazing 25 game losing streak; in the NHL Boston lead the East, although last night their 12 game winning streak was finally beaten by an Alex Galchenyuk GWG for your Montrea Canadiens; with 10 games to go the Bruins are the only team in the east in the playoffs; in the West the St Louis Blues are there, as are the San Jose Sharks who are on quite the last season run at the moment; massive amounts of free agency goodess in the NFL, Mike talks you through that; bit of baseball (the actual kind) but loads more next week; plenty of fun from the Bodeans Mailbag; a strange bit of filling at the end which didn't need to happen but was fun enough to leave in, and much, much more...

Americarnage #136: Iron Birthday, Young and Fruity

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan are back in the house this week for an All-Pro 'Carnage this week and, because it's just so darn exciting, they celebrate the Big Man's birthday a day early by having some disturbingly cogent discussion in. Don't worry though, Dan takes just 4 minutes to talk about poo...

In other news: there's booze and cake in the studio, this always works out well; Dan is a big fan of the Oscar Pistorius murder trial, mainly the vomiting; the Americarnage merchandise store is launching soon, presents for loved ones will never be a problem again; Nat talks Romney documentaries, disturbingly watchable stuff; Mike talks NFL free agency in a frankly bewildering amount of detail; in the NHL it's all change at the top – Boston leads the East from Pittsburgh and Montreal after pulling back ten games on the Pens since December; St Louis lead the West from Anaheim for the first time all season; NBA-wise, Indiana lead the East from Miami, San Antonio have leapfrogged the OKC Thunder, they’re 6 straight in a time when everyone is losing; Lebron hit 6 of 18 from the field and later blamed the special T shirts he had been made to wear as part of the NBA’s Noche Latina; laods og Bodeans Mailbag goodness, including the revelation that we're so wrong all the time that Corrections and Clarifications should make a return - we're up for this, send us your C&C's! great (slightly stolen) game from Dan and much, much more...

Americarnage #135: The Prison Without Walls

por Me:Mo

With Iron Mike out of the game this week Nat and Dan waste no time in getting right down to what matters: the etiquette and mores of dumping at work. Joining in the discussion but keeping it classy is all-pro 'Carnage guest and One Direction back-up dancer Phil Spooner.

In other news: Nat and Phil hit a wrap party and Phil tore up the dance floor, capturing all hearts; Phil shows how to style it out if you don't know what's going on; Dan went to see pre-release bits of a film, ate muffins and will never be asked back; Nat and HdP love House of Cards season 2; NFL free agency begins next week so the big work right now is being done by the agents, the rumour mill and the bean-counters looking to free up cap space so they don't turn up to the party unable to buy their round; Golden Tate will be one of those looking to be snapped up for mucho dinero; the new Tampa Bay uniform has been revealed and whatever they were trying to achieve, they haven't done it; in the NHL Pittsburgh lead the East from Boston; Anaheim lead St Louis in the West with around 20 games left; with every team back in action after the Olympics, the talk of the town is of the approaching trade deadline and most of the League have been busy little bastards; ndiana lead the East from Miami, OKC lead the West from San Antonio, but with the Clippers, the Rockets and Trail Blazers all streaking, it’s anyone’s game with around 25 games left; last week we were taping just as the Heat were beating the Thunder and Serge Ibaka, who you may recall ain’t about dis life, breaking Lebron’s nose; loads of Bodeans Mailbag goodies and much, much more...

Americarnage #134: Kelly's Heroes

por Me:Mo

Mike and Dan arrive at the studio all lively and raring to go when they find a note from Nat explaining that he's recently had dental work which has rendered him Merrick-esque so won't be along this week. HdP's best efforts can't cheers them up (honestly, he jingled his keys and everything) but when First Lady of Americarnage Kelly-Anne Lyons turns up they decide that life is worthwhile after all, turn those frowns upside down and get on with the business of recording the best gosh-darn podcast they can, like big boys.

In other news: Mike really doesn't like Piers Morgan; neither does anyone else; Kelly talks kidnapped Orcas; Dan talks worst-food-in-the-West-End; Mike talks Cassius Clay anniversaries; loads of combine numbers vie for your attention; the Sochi Olympics are over and there were even some sporting things to talk about amongst all the controversy which is just as well as the NHL break was getting old; in the NBA Indiana lead the East from Miami, OKC lead the West from San Antonio and it’s been that way most of the season but the impressive Pacers lead has been chipped away since All Star weekend by a rampant Miami team that as gone 5 on the bounce; Kelly talks New York Yankees; loads of Bodeans Mailbag goodness; Oscar picks and general movie chat for the last 25 minutes or so, awesome if you like movies, skp it if you don't care so much, and much, much more...

Americarnage #133: The Next Generation

Nat, Mike and Dan have finally managed to assemble once more in the 'Carnage lair, deep under the streets of Camden. There they find HdP ready to record because, well, it's a strong collar and chain they bought way back in 2010...

In other news: Mike has brought his mini-me, Mr Nate Carlson, who promptly slags off the gang, demands payment and crashes Nat's links so we can assume that the next generation will be business as usual; the Lego movie is surprisingly dark; Amazon is making tv shows, Mike recommends one; Dan watches a film of roughly the vintage that Nat usually does, surprise ensues; Nat's all about House of Cards, a quality second season in the offing; lots of off-season action in the NFL, the guys plough into this with their usual aplomb; in the NBA, Indiana lead the East, OKC lead the West, but the NBA has had a quiet weekend because of the annual clusterfuck of showing off that is the All Star break; on Sunday in New Orleans, the East took on the West and both teams played even less defence than usual, running up a record score of 163-155; NHL-wise, Anaheim lead the West from St Louis, Pittsburgh lead the West from Boston. It’s basically the same as when we left you; what is different, is the league hit shutdown as many of the players went to Sochi; The Winter Olympics got underway, Canada’s path to the next round was fairly roiutine, putting away Norway, Austria and Finland in overtime thanks to two Drew Doughty goals; loads of Bodeans Mailbag goodness, a grand old game from Dan and much, much more...

Americarnage #132: Strangely Philosophical

por Me:Mo

Mike and Dan have lost Nat to NYC in the build up to some sporting event or other so be prepared for the channel 4 coverage to have plenty of cutaways with Nat singing 'if I can make it there, I'll make it anywhere...' while wearing C4 foam fingers. Aaaanyway, to help fill the gap left by N-Power's absence we've got Shortlist's sports editor, Bears fan and long-time friend of the show Mr Ben Isaacs.

In other news: Ben's off to train with the Welsh rugby team and his recent gym usage has simply broken him rather than started to rebuild him - this could be the last time we see him; Dan met Gavin Henson once then spends time defending Charlotte Church; Mike mentions Nietsche and thing get strangely philosophical (hence the title, geddit?!); lots of pro bowl talk;lots of head coach talk; plenty plenty super bowl talk; baseball talk; NHL and NBA talk; Bodeans Mailbag action and some betting, what more could you want. Possibly much, much more...

Americarnage #131: We Got Ourselves a Reader

por Me:Mo

Nat and Mike arrive in the studio this week with a spring in their step and joy in their hearts, all is right with the world. Until HdP tells them that Dan can't make it to the show and the tears start to flow... Luckily writer and broadcaster Stig Abell is about so he chucks them on the chin and tells them to turn their frowns upside down, to get on with talking about sports like big boys. So that, dear listener, is what they did...

In other news: Stig reads lots of books while commuting and reckons you can too; Mike talks about books too then Nat does as well so the first 18 minutes or so are pretty literary; don't worry, this changes; all agree that the era of men wearing hats was a good thing; the Pro Bowl is coming but amazingly it gets ignored - we may not be the only group of people to do this; for the first time in 4 years or so the top seeds are facing off against each other in the Super Bowl, 'should be pretty epic' appears to be the general consensus; very little time is devoted to Richard Sherman; supposedly elite refereees are anything but; in the NBA, Kobe says the league is more about finesse these days; San Antonio, Portland and OKC lead the West; the Nets beat the Nicks at The Garden; big baseball discussions are had; hockey is talked about; loads of Bodeans Mailbag goodies and much, much more...

Americarnage #130: Absolute Carnage

por Me:Mo

Nat and Dan are having to do without the Big Man this week and things were looking pretty grim - it seemed like HdP might even have to talk more and we know for a fact that shouldn't happen. Luckily for all involved the tower of power that is TM Football's Will Gavin stepped into the breach, which means not only that once again Pods Collide, but also a reuniting of the Absolute Radio *coughAbsoluteRadio90'scough* NFL team. Apparently he only came to see Mike which makes for an awkward moment or two...

In other news: Once again sports take about 14 minutes to arrive. It would have been longer but for the edit, see if you can spot the joins; stories of working with Dan in other places prove remarkably familiar and he brings a joke which was censored elsewhere; 12 Years a Slave is apparently quite harrowing; Dan talks hip-hop; the niners resort to old-school football while the panthers end up being just a bit little-brother; the seahawks have the best pass-d in the league; loads of other things but you'll hear them when you listen; are nicknames on jerseys the lamest gimmick the NBA have tried? Probably not but boy do they suck; loads of Bodeans Mailbag goodness; Dan gets close to home with his Hollywood Animals game and much, much more...

Americarnage #129: Happy New Filth!

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan are back from the festive season feeling fired up and ready to dish it out; Dan especially as Mike calls him on the amount he talk about cacapoopoopeepee. Turns out it's quite a lot. Helping them deal with this and making his long-awaited return is the all-pro Qaurterback and man wth one week to live, Marek Larwood.

In other news: The BBC messed up the new year fireworks; Marek will sleep with all three members of Haim but not one at a time; various joke opportunities are missed, other ones which should have been aren't; Dan's getting ready to run the London marathon and has succumbed to the sickness of being unable to stop talking about it; films have been watched and that takes up much of the first 18 minutes so if you just want sports, that's where to skip to; speaking of sports, loads of that has happened since we were last in the studio, so much that I couldn't possibly list it here - listen to find out; great stuff from the Bodeans Mailbag, an epic game to start the year with and much, much more...

Americarnage #128: Lazy-Ass Clip Show 3

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan have signed off for the year, having felt like by coming up with funky-ass shit, like, every single week, they've done their part. That leaves HdP his yearly joyous task of finding some of the 'best' bits for Lazy-Ass Clip Show 3: Clip This. He's found some rude stuff, some horrendously offensive stuff and a few bits about sports so I guess that's pretty representative if nothing else...

In other news: Huge thanks to everone who's joined us this year, 'Carnage friends old and new, you've given of your time to help make this a hell of a year for us. Even huger thanks to everyone who's tweeted us, facebook'd us, trolled us, come to visit us in Camden and listened to us in 2013, you're a mad bunch of bastards and we love you.

Happy Christmas and a fine-ass new year, we'll be back in January.

Americarnage #127: Festive Film Festival Fun. And Sports.

por Me:Mo

Nat and Dan are obviously highly cultured individuals, if usually more of the petri-dish type, so they're taking the chance this week to talk you through some top Christmas films. 'But what about Mike, he's great on films on the side' I hear shouted in the direction of the studios, possibly in a Connecticut accent. Well, Mike's on family duties so helping sort the winter wheat from the Christmas chaff is All-Pro 'Carnage guest and busiest man in media, Phil 'tha producer' Spooner.

In other news: Dan makes various personal suggestions about Mike seeing as he's not here to defend himself; Harry's beard makes him suspected Al Quaeda but his actions make him a confirmed booze-hound; Nat promotes himself to colonel, this doesn't last long; Dan is doing the London Marathon, this is not the last time you'll hear about this fact; Week 15 has been all about enormous field goals which everyone seems strangely excited about; The Super-Chargers do what no-one thought they would; Tony Romo is hated as much as Jamaal Charles is loved; NBA-wise it's Indiana and Portland at the top; Josh Smith is very very good; Kobe wants to win a championship, he's not going to this year; Pittsburgh and Chicago are top of the NHL tree but Vancouver are blasting up the ratings so they're the ones to watch; an especially disturbing but brilliant Bodean's Mailbag this week (cheers Dan, that mic now has to be burnt) the promised film discussion and much, much more...

Americarnage #126: Ready, Willing and... Adept?

por Me:Mo

Nat and Mike are calm, dignified men and so take the news that Hollywood can't make it this week with their usual sombre grace - mourning internally in their own ways while keeping up appearances for the sake of the listeners. Luckily the seat left by Dan doesn't need to be empty and the non-stop 'Carnage party can continue as Mr Stig Abell steps into the breach.

In other news: Stig is the recently-appointed managing editor of The Sun so we ask ONE of the phone-hacking questions sent in and it goes really really well; HdP lies all the time apparently but his beard is ok so that's kind of fine, right? Mike's old 'tache gets discussed; the utter madness of last sunday gets discussed in depth; is fantasy football snowball fights a thing? It should be; running in snow is hard, unless your name is Jacoby Jones; Mike sings his round up, you have to hear it to believe it; in the NHL the Canadienes are covered thoroughly, possibly at the expense of every other team; some basketball things happen, some MLB chat is had, loads of good Bodeans Mailbag stuff happens too and Dan's influence manifests with a great game he sent in and much, much more...

Americarnage #125: Mike Carlson Throws Animals

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan are pure athletes, able to accomplish any feat to which the human body is equal. Thing is, Mike isn't here this week so the conversation OBVIOUSLY turns to what the largest animal he could throw over a building might be. Adding substantially to this earnest debate is the simply brilliant Mr David Whitney, master of stand-up, acting and bagpipes. Mock if you dare, he's better than you.

In other news: Everyone cares about Nat, which is nice; Americarnage is sending a Camden goth to the podcast awards in Vegas to collect our award for us, y'know, 'cos we're bound to win; the city of Atlanta gets a long discussion and even a little love; in the NFL the week started on Thanksgiving – the Lions destroyed the Packers and took control of the NFC North, more so when the Minnesota Vikings beat the Bears on Sunday despite their attempts to tie for the second time this season; Matt Flynn got sacked 7 times, DeAndre Levy picked him off for his 6th of the season; in the NBA Indiana lead the East, still, and they’re now enjoying the best start to the season in franchise history; Miami are 10 straight, but still in second and besides Washington, everyone else in the Eastern Conference has a losing record; in the West the Trailblazers lead from the Spurs. Last night the West met the East in Portland and despite Paul George putting up an insane career high of 43, the Pacers still lost thanks mainly to a Lamarcus Aldridge double double; in the Hockey Boston lead the East from Pittsburgh and Montreal; Chicago lead the West from san Jose and Anaheim; most of the chat is about last week’s law suit, with the backlash beginning apace. Don Cherry calls it a money grab, while Jeremy Roenick said of the players : "They can go after the league that they craved to be in since they were little kids and paid their salary,"; Dan says the internet is full of lies big-ticket players get discussed ferociously; loads of Bodeans Mailbag goodness and a gane to boot, what more do you need? Much, much more perhaps...?

Americarnage #124: AmeriJarnage...?

por Me:Mo

Nat is on IR this week so Mike and Dan are wondering who they could get in who would have the sheer depth of knowledge needed for the show this week. Step forward the original stats man and winner of this year's 'Carnage fatasy baseball league, Mr Colin Jarman.

In other news: Mike is racist about English teeth, because that's a thing apparently; Dan does cultural things; Mike talks to authors and turns down requests to autograph other people's books; the Cowboys do things surprisingly well; the Bucs do things badly but still win; Tom beats Peyton and the hyperbole goes into the stratosphere; Indy look way too normal; Altanta are the first team to mathmatically out of the playoffs; the AFC really is awful; in the NBA, San Antonio lead the West; Indiana lead the East, both are 13 and 1; Miami are 7 straight and in the West Portland are 11 straight. Pretty much everyone in the East is losing; loads of trades happen in the MLB trade-wise;  hockey-wise Boston lead the East despite a late scare last night against the Pens, who equalised in ,3 seconds left before the Bruins won overtime; loads of the usual greatness from the Bodeans Mailbag and much, much more...

Americarnage #123: Podcast of Culture 2017

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan are about as cultured as they come and are currently challenging Hull for the honour of being the centre of British culture in a few years time. Let you know how it goes but we're optimistic about this one... To aid them the most cultured of all sports producers, Mr Marc Reeks is in the house tonight.

In other news: Marc is a Raiders fan and has a name that could mean somthing else - in their infinite cleverness the guys find something amusing in this; he's also a purveyor of incredible sporting coverage, listen to find out more; Dan tries to offend even more people, this time taking aim at the North of England. Sorry; 150th anniversary of the Gettysberg address, Mike waxes lyrical; week 11 showed gave us the battle of the replacement quarterbacks followed by the return of the old dog; Gronk gets slammed; the Broncos prove things, so does Alex Smith; in the NBA Indiana lead the East, San Antonio lead the West, but Miami and Portland started and ended the week unbeaten, so they are both up there; in the Eastern Conference only 4 teams out of 15 currently have winning records - spare a thought for the Atlantic Division, which unfancied Philadelphia top a table; NHL-wise Boston lead the East, Chicago are level with Anaheim in the West although 18 out of 14 teams in the West are a win away from the top and nearly everyone in the new Pacific division has the same number of points REALIGNMENT IS A FAILURE; MLB awards are finally discussed; loads of goodies in the Bodeans Mailbag; robots feature again in a great game from Dan and much, much more...

Americarnage #122: QuarterBot 2

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan know a million-dollar idea when they hear it and always know when to leave a reference alone, proving this time and again this week...

In other news: last day or so of voting for the Podcast awards, get us over the line; ASDA FM gets some love; Dan's 'teche is gone as a protest against Movember; Tony Romo continues to amaze for the wrong reasons; the Bengals miss out in a thriller against the Ravens; concussions continue to rock the NFL; Tampa get off the mark; the Rams beat the Colts down in a surprise outing for Kellen Clemens; we’re about a tenth of the way through the NBA regular season and the unbeaten Indiana Pacers lead the East, while San Antonio unsurprisingly lead the West; Miami continue to stutter, adding to their back to back losses last week against the Nets and Sixers with defeat against Boston’s threadbare team with a buzzer beater from Jeff Green with less than a second to go. Last night they roared back; Lebron put 33 on the Bucks and sat out the entire 4th quarter; in the NHL Tampa lead the East; Colorado share the west with Chicago; I know, what is going on; loads of great Bodeans Mailbag action; Twit or Twat returns and much, much more...

Americarnage #121: Big Up The One Like 'Carnage

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan are true soldiers, bashment warriors, turntablist... Well not really but for the first couple of minutes of this week's show they had the nation fooled. That's what HdP's changed his name to by the way, 'The Nation'. Probably change it back soon when he realises how silly it is. Aaaaanyway...

In other news: Podcast Awards voting is still open, vote every day til the 15th of November if you can; Mike's expansion team maths comes up again; Nat has seen several films which were released this decade; Mike talks books and George Pelicanos gets a big-up; Dan's off to see the Arcade Fire and is remarkably smug about it; Tampa Bay do crazy things; Seattle do better crazy things but still looking fallible; Case Keenum has his balls out all game; Gary Kubiak will get better; workplace bullying in the NFL? Really? also, what sort of name is Incognito; the NBA season is off and running, on Tuesday we tipped off with two heavyweight ties that turned out to be mismatches - the Double Champion Heat ran all over the Bulls; Derek Rose played 34 minutes in his big return from a season blighted by injury, but Lebron hit 17 and Shane Battier put down every three he tried. Carlos boozer managed a third of all of the Bulls’ points as they went down 107-95; The Ducks are taking the NHL by storm they top the West after beating New York on Monday; Pittsburgh top the East; The Duck’s Corey Perry was subjected to something incredible on Monday - With fifteen seconds left in the second, Ryan McDonagh of the Rangers shoved the Ducks star into the Rangers bench. He climbed out and ten seconds later MCDONAGH DID IT AGAIN. The crowd went wild, the Rangers still lost. Pointless really. Filthy game from Dan, loads of good stuff from the Bodeans Mailbag and much, much more...

Americarnage #120: Olympic Carnage

por Me:Mo

With Mike doing Eurosport this week, Nat and Dan were left having a discussion about how bloody good they both are at everything when who should walk in but a man who's won enough gold medals to look like Mr T if he were of a mind to: Mark Hunter OBE. Luckily he's also a massive 49ers fan so they thought they should have a chat together, get HdP to record it and put it out. Y'know, like a podcast or something. Well dear reader, this is what they did.

In other news: The nature of pressure is discused; Captain Phillips gets an Oscar discussion going and it turns out Nat acted with Chiwetel Ojiofor (and has the added bonus of being able to pronounce his name); the second grand sharabang that is the International Series rolled into town and all the hurt in the world poured over the Jags; the Bengals destroyed the Jets with very little input from either Green or Green-Ellis - this team is looking deeper every week; Aaaron Ridgers passed for 284 yards and two touchdowns; while James Starks and Eddie Lacey ran for 180 yards combined, meaning the Packers do at last have a running game; it's the weirdest World Series ever and by the time you read this it'll probably be over; the Sharks and Avs are the talk of the NHL lighting up the West and refusing to lose. Coloardo under new coach Patrick Roy have gone from nothing to something very quickly – winning 10 of their opening 11 game; on Sunday Paul Stasny netted the winner against the Jets and Semyon Varlamov made 24 saves for a team that are now good good good; NBA season is upon us and Miami tip off against the resurgent Chicago Bulls who have got D Rose back in their rotation for the first time in a yea; this year we have a new team – the new Orleans Pelicans, formerly the Hornets; whose recent name change clears the way for the Charlotte Bobcats to return as the Hornets next years; loads of brilliant questions in the Bodeasn Mailbag; we've got a new sponsor! Listen for details and head to squarespace.com to help yourself and us out; another great game from Dan and Much, much more...

Americarnage #119: Relentless 'Carnage

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan are back together again after Dan's jaunt to the states and there's a manic energy in the room as they catch up on the last few weeks action. Well, maybe it's the joy of reunion, maybe it's the can of energy drink that HdP slipped Mike just before the show...

In other news: The guys sum up Homeland in a way which means you never need to watch it; Nat's choice of films is influenced by time; injuries galore in week 7; Pat McAfee is the greatest punter in the NFL; the cheifs just hold on to their unbroken streak; RIP Bum Phillips, great coach; hockey things happen but the guys are more interested in the lack of imagination in KHL names; the Playoffs continue and Mike outlines how the World Series needs to go down; loads of fun from the Bodeans Mailbag; Dan tells us about his holiday and much, much more...

Americarnage #118: North London 'Carnage

por Me:Mo

Nat and Mike are still a bit bereft as Dan continues his American perigrinations but while they're looking those words up in the dictionary who should turn up but the boys from North London 40, James Hamlin and Inie Banigo! THis is the tale of When Pods Collide...

In other news: Inie is going to be a lawyer, this could prove useful to the 'Carange crew; James has love for Seattle and plugs an excellent bar which celebrates all its sporting success; Adrian Peterson plays despite his horrendous news, some columnists try to make mileage of this and should have terrible things happen to them; the Pats finish the Saints winning streak despite a Brady pick; the Rams get an impressive road win; Detroit prove the new-look Browns are still the Browns; in the MLB, the play-offs are actually exciting; loads of exciting stuff from the Bodeans Mailbag; the guys discuss times when they've pulled a Romo - been clutch but still publicly ragged, and much, much more...

Americarnage #117: NFL Mixology

por Me:Mo

Nat and Mike well know the elements needed to blend an exciting game of footbawl and with Dan new exported to the States they have grabbed the opportunity to invite the master of mixed drinks, the chieftan of cocktails, the barman of Browns fans, Mr Paul McFadyen on to the show to tell them just how to make the most of the game, booze-wise.

In other news: Mike's been watching sexploitation documentaries, the team is deeply surprised; it's London Cocktail Week, get involved; Instant Reply - a book you need to read; with Dan away, Nat gets right back to Grantland; Tony Romo is about the polarising man in football - all those touchdowns, a loss and choking accusations; Geno Smith throws zero picks and the Jets look like a team; the Giants stagger further down, so do the Jags; TY Hilton tears through everything in front of him; in the NHL, the Flyers get off to an 0-3 start and immediately fire coach Peter Laviolette, something a bit Premier League about that...; the Bruins are unbeaten but so are 8 other teams so bit early yet; loads of good stuff from the BO-deans Mailbag; some great audio postcards from Dan; NFL drink-matching with Paul and much, much more...

Americarnage #116: InterNATional Series Hangover

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan were all over Wembley last weekend and loved every second of it - especially the risk of death from the big flame-y things and a nailbiter of a game. Mike has been busy doing last-minute obituaries for American writers so we're without the Big Man again this week. Stepping in to join the fun though are friend of the show Caimh McDonnell and superstar producer long-time-listener-first-time-caller Marc Reeks. Harry reacts well to another producer in the room again...

In other news: The guys had great fun at the Regents Street bash and the Wembley game, met a few fine folks; three points gets a little out of hand but it's worth it, promise; Minnesota and Pittsburgh came to town with the worst records in the league and only the Vikings left town with their heads held high; Matt Cassell stood in for Christian Ponder and threw two touchdowns and 248 yards to Greg Jennings, and let AP run into two big ones; Ben threw two interceptions and 83,519 went home happy, expect anyone who saw gene Simmons do the national anthem; in the MLB Russell Martin blasted two home runs and Marlon Byrd smashed another to give the Pittsburgh Pirates a 6-2 Major League Baseball playoff triumph over Cincinnati; the other National League playoff series opening later this week will match the Los Angeles Dodgers against the Atlanta Braves; in the NHL the first season since Gary Bettman’s ill advised realignment programme began with the Stanley Cup champion Blackhawks beat the Washington Capitals; loads of good stuff in the Bodeans Mailbag; a warning about side-effects turned into a game by Dan and much, much more...

Americarnage #115: Is There Something Happening on Sunday?

por Me:Mo

Nat and Dan have been busy this week, busy doing things like being on the radio, watching films and talking to the Minnesota Vikings who for some reason are camped out at a hotel in Hertfordshire. Well everyone needs a holiday. With that in mind, Mike has taken this week to go spear-fishing in the canals of Camden so slipping into his seat is friend of the show and bona-fide super-Canuck Erik (the producer) Janssen.

In other news: Rush is a surprisingly good film; Dan talks Tottenham Tramps and fibs about (possibly) illegal activity; Nat talks Americarnage ringtones and the best telly of the last few years; Peyton Manning torched the raiders on Monday night, 37-21 in game that left Terrelle Pryor with a concussion after a double sack; on Thursday the misifiring Eages lost at home to the resurgent Cheifs - several Vick turnovers and two muffed punts brought home the win for Redi’s new boys; the gang will be out there on Regent Street on saturday and tailgating on sunday, go and find them and take photos; the NBA has dream up a new scheme to sell jerseys: for a set number of games this season they will be allowing teams to sport their nicknames on their back and not just their surnames. So Dwayne Wade will be D w-ade. Paul Piecrce the Truth and Chris Bosh will be CB4. The move has been condmedn by some journalists, or ‘J-Lists’. Loads of action from the Bodeans Mailbag; brilliant game from Dan and much, much more...

Americarnage #114: New Fish

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan like to think they take care of their listeners and in this episode they make sure that anyone new to the show doesn't get themselves into trouble. Because they do such a good job of that with themselves...

In other news: Nat and Dan confuse Mike over certain English traditions; Nat and Mike filled for a million years on Sunday; Dan ate pizza and bodily functions on Absolute Radio; short films, the Goodie Mob and Calvados get love; the battle for the AFC West was delayed by lighting as the Seahawks prepared to demolish the now rubbish Colin Kaepernick - a leaky 49ers offence buckled under the noise at Century; the NHL preseason got underway on Monday and Alan Vigneault has his first unofficial win as Rangers coach, winning 3-2 against the Flyers; Florida beat Nashvile twice in their split squad series Boston beat Montreal, including two for Jarome Iginla; the NBA is investigating the Brooklyn Nets over their highly suspicious signing of Russian b’ball legend Mikhail Kirilenko from the Minnesota Timberwolves; loads and loads of Bodeans Mailbag magic; a tiny bit of Fantasy League; more brilliant game action from Dan and much, much more

Americarnage #113: Regular Season MVP

Nat, Mike and Dan are men who keep their promises, when they remember they've made them anyway. Finally a tuesday taping means they can honour their pledge to 'Carnage Live MVP to come on the show so welcome ladies and gemtlemen, to Kris Head.

In other news: Mike, Dan and Harry went to a strip club and didn't get any free stuff so left straight away; Kris recommends music; Dan recommends TV; Week one of the regular season is toast and who’s not going to win the Superbowl? the New York Giants. They turned the ball over six times – including an interception off the very play from scrimmage, and yet the Cowboys still only won by five points; Eli and Tony Romo both threw for more than four hundred yards and fumble happy David Wilson is unlikely to play in the NFL again; the Mannings ended up throwing for 11 touchdowns on the week, as the Broncos obliterated the Ravens; Peyton put up 7 touchdowns – most of them to Wes Welker, who even managed to muff a punt; MLB-wise Boston are walking away with the AL East....no-one saw that coming back in April....but will Mike's favourite Red Sox prove to be a serious Series contender? in the NHL the Calgary Flames will remains at their home at the Scotiabank Saddledome after extensive flooding in southern Alebrta made the puck drop for the first game of the season look unlikely; Rodman was back in North Korea. Americarnage #112: What's YOUR Trans Name?

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan are previewing not just the regular season this week but also what they'd do in Bradley Manning's place - turns out they'd have better names if nothing else...

In other news: The guys (minus Nat) are off to a strip club and it's TOTALLY FOR WORK REASONS; Mike tells us all about in-flight entertainment; Dan talks Madden 25; Nat talks listener distibution; Tebow was cut by the Patriots as they slimmed down for the regular season; Robert Kraft immediately told the press: "I love Tim Tebow and I very much wanted him on the team"; he wasn’t the only famousish player to get dumped as the teams went to 53 - Vince Young was dropped by the Packers, Matt Leinart left the Bills, Austin Collie didn’t make the 49ers and Shawn meachem said bye to the Chargers and Jimmy Clausen left the Panthers; the gang runs through their predictions for the season ahead; loads of goodness from the Bodeans Mailbag; Dan comes up with a game based on the Daily Mail website - that can only be good, right? And much, much more....

Americarnage #111: Scooby Snacks

por Me:Mo

In honour of Nat's birthday HdP has brought in the most sugar-laden cake possible and booze to wash it down. Surely this can't affect the way the gang tackle the show? Luckily they've got Marek Larwood in to keep them under control...

In other news: Nat does 'jobs' with Dennis Wise - Dan correctly assumes it's a sawn-off-and-wheels sort of job; Marek is filming a prank show in one of Britain's roughest cities but has survived so far; Dan talks films; Nat talks Film Fandango (cheers again Marek); Tebow is STILL a Patriot! He;’s completed 5 of 19 passes for 55 yards but he’s still on the squad list as it gets slimmed to 77. "I'm rooting for (Tebow) and I'm in his corner, but I have the privilege of letting Bill make those decisions,” says Robert Kraft; Week three of the pre season came and went – the battle of New York ended with a Jets win in overtime; Tony Romo threw two TD and the Hard Knocks cameras captured James Harrison beating everyone at arm wrestling; Margus Hunt calimed that everyone in his native Estonia ate nothing but “straight up growth hormone”; Pavel Datsyuk, Red Wings ledge, when asked what he though of Russia’s new spate of homohpboic laws responded: “I am orthodox and that says it all”. This was taken as meaning he hated homsoexuals, whichy caused a Twitter meltdown and a demand that he apologises. So far he has not done so; Miami Heat coach, Erik Spoelstra decided to go and drop some knowledge on the Seattle Seahawks this week. Players including Russell Wilson watched dumfounded as he turned up to the Hawks training camps: "Just having him here in front of the team and just having him in meetings with us and having him out here in practice is an unbelievable experience for everybody,"; Dan brings an amazing Jive Talking game; loads of Bodeans Mailbag action and much, much more...

Americarnage #109: Masonic Country Club Debates

por Me:Mo

Mike and Dan are gentle, sensitive and ferociously moral guys, despite often coming off as mostly the opposite of all those things. With Nat away on work-y travels they're brought more than up to strength by the fabulous David Whitney who brings, amongst many other things, the world's greatest laugh...

In other news: Several films get thoroughly debated, including a detailed analysis of Grown-Ups 2; Mike's been watching Firefly; Lucozade cures AIDS; Football is back! Tebow gets a run out for the Patriots and managing only a 50% pass completion rate against the Eagles, for whom Michale Vick starred; Nick Foles fumbled and Riley Cooper managed to avoid calling anyone the N Word, more on that later; in Detroit, Sanchez started terribly – being picked off by rookie Ziggy Ansah, before he picked up and threw a TD; in better news for him Geno Smith looked shaky and rolled his ankle on a wobbly scramble; things happen in the baseball, Mike tells you about them; basketball is coming soon, Dan tells you more about that; Dan comes up with a cracking game based around smack-talk; a member of the Department of History, Race and Race Relations stars in the Bodeans Mailbag and the gang clarify some of their position on the whole Washington thing and much, much more...

Americarnage #108: Live 2

por Me:Mo

We done made another live show! For those who were there, you know what triumphs there were and what disasters, what joys and what sorrows, what technical glitches and what further technical glitches...

Aaaanyway, here's a very lightly tweaked recording of the show for you with Nat, Mike, Dan and Marek doing their best to defeat the audience in a series of challenges, along with a bonus track at the end featuring the enormously funny James Loveridge and our very own Dan Louw.

Back in the saddle for weekly 'Carnage goodness next week as we roll into preseason.

Americarnage #107: I Guess We Should Mention Sharknado...

por Me:Mo

Mike and Dan brave the bubbling tarmac of summertime Camden, diving for the airconditioned goodness of the Americarnage studio. Nat has other ideas and has fled the country once more. Making up the triad this week is a man who's soon to do something similar, except instead of a holiday in France it'll be taking Avenue Q to South Korea: brilliant actor and certified Tennessee Galoot, Chris Ragland.

In other News: Vladimir Putin has been in a submarine lately and Dan would do terrible love-things to his ex-wife apparently; Dan pitched shows to the production company that made Sharknado - blame him; Manning Camp is underway and the biggest casualty so far has been Johnny Manziel’s head - the Texas A&M quarterback was sent home suffering from dehydration and exhaustion. Totally not a hangover; the big talk in the league is the ione that got away – Ilya Kovalchuk of the New Jersey Devils has decided to retire effective immediately -the only problem is that he had 12 years and 77 million left on his contract, which he chose to forgo; Dominic Moore is returning to hockey after spending a year away nursing his wife back from liver cancer - the former member of the Lightning will now grace the third of fourth line of the Rangers; the All-Star will have happened by now and is it still a let-down? Loads of good stuff from the Bodeans Mailbag, a discussion on accents and much, much more...

Oh yeah, and it's the last show before Americarnage Live! A few tickets left but you'd best be quick:

Americarnage #106: Like the Boss?

por Me:Mo

Nat and Dan went to see Springsteen together at Hard Rock Calling. Mike cou;dn't make it to that or indeed this week's show (although he did send some pre-recorded Iron Goodness so worry not Carlson fans) so into the guest seat slips journalist, Bears fan and Americarnage's College football expert Ben Isaacs.

In other news: The guys talk about thier names when they were younger and for some reason they seem to think this is interesting; the Boss gets discussed of course; there's a tiny bit of mobile phone interferance and it's HdP's fault - he has been disciplined; great sports books get discussed; the Heat are NBA champions, setting Lebron up for all sorts of records; Lebron does not let anyone forget he knows he's the greatest player ever; draft night business was fun as Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce get traded to Boston and all sorts of other chicanery; the Blackhawks have the Stanley Cup amidst ding-dong action; baseball things happen; someone called Aaron Hernandez is in the news for something or other; loads of great questions in the Bodeans Mailbag; dodgy wise-guy acting in Hollywood's new game and much, much more...

Americarnage #105: Putin up with Larceny

por Me:Mo

With Nat away Mike slips into the host chair to arbitrate between Dan, guest the fantastic Phil Spooner and, on the phone, the dreaded Vladimir Putin...

In other news: some of the most exciting action ever in the NBA finals; Jason Kidd is now the coach of the Brooklyn nets. The tiny bald point gaurd replaces PJ Carlessim, who replaced Avery Johnson at Christmas; The Stanley Cup Final goes into Game 4 tonight, with a finely poised series between the Chicago Blackhawks and the Boston Bruins; proper Bodeans Mailbag action; a game we totally liberated from http://brunching.com/, head over there to find more funny stuff; loads of NFL stuff, plenty of hockey stuff, HdP wants to get to the pub and much, much more...

Americarnage #104: Grown-Up Water Slides

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan are just big kids at heart but turns out Nat has crossed the man-child border going by an insane waterslide in France. 70kph on your arse is fine, right...?

In other news: Dan finds painkillers on his desk at work and, like any sensible fella, takes them with hilarious consequences; the 2013 NBA Championship will be between the Miami Heat and the San Antonio Spurs; in the NHL the conference Finals are underway - in the East we have the 2009 champion Penguins vs the 2011 champion Bruins; in the West it’s last year’s winners, the Kings vs the 2010 victors Blackhawks; Penguins beat the Ottawa Senators in their conference semi. Despite most people expecting the sweep, Ottawa nicked an overtime win in game three before getting blown away in the next 2 – shipping a total of 13 goals and returning to Canada in shame; Major League Baseball will be looking to suspend some of the game’s biggest stars including everyone’s favourite reflection kissing former Short Stop Alex Rodriguez, who is one of 20 or so players connected to Biogensis scandal; great new game from Dan highlighting the joys of Amazon reviews; loads of action from the Bodeans Mailbag and much, much more...

Americarnage #103: Americarnage Live 2, 28th July 2013

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan are in a reflective mood, they miss the good old days where they got to meet you guys. Luckily they're going to get another chance at the end of July at the Forge and Fountry in Camden when Americarnage Live 2 (tagline pending) will be all up in your grill. Email Americarnage@memointeractive.com or head to forgevenue.org to pre-book tickets for what will be literally an event in the summer...

In other news: The gang talk soccer for a little while but don't worry, it doesn't last; Iron Mike is back and straight away starts recommending crime novels; Dan finds a great shop for vintage NFL jerseys; in the NBA we are into the Conference finals, last time out Miami were almost in the Eastern Conference finals, needing just one more win against the Bulls to make the finals for the third straight year; Carlos Boozer threw down 26, and despite the Bulls leading by 11 late in the third, Lebron, D Wade and a couple of missed 3 handed it to Miami; in the West, it’s the Spurs vs the Grizzlies - San Antonio took control in game 5 of their series against golden state, cruising past by 18 points and finished them on the road in game 6 as GSW, nursing injuries to Harrison Barnes, Steph Curry and Jarret Jack, finally gave up; in the NHL it's overtime-tastic with the Penguins vs unfashionable Ottawa taking this to the limit; the Pens took game 1 in OT, breaking the Sens incredible record of 7 straight OT wins on the road. Game 2 went to the Pens as well, while game three went to double overtime until Colin Greening smuggled home past Thomas Vokoun; loads of other things have happened, many of them get asked about in the Bodeans Mailbag; por-celebrity Twit of Twat makes a welcome return and much, much more...

Americarnage #102: Nicky Spesh

por Me:Mo

Nat and Dan are musical folks and this week, while Mike's at Eurosport (which they totally remembered and everything) they take the chance to invite not only master of all sports Erik Janssen but also musician, rapper and the man responsible for the quality jingle action on the show, Nicky Spesh, who brings us a big bag of new and cracking stuff. Together they make an ENORMOUS show with one part which will probably never get played again. You've been warned. Dan.

In other news: Nick tells us things we never knew about Dan; Dan tells us things we already knew about himself; Nat reveals his surprising breadth of rap knowledge; NBA-wise, the first playoff round in the East saw the Heat sweep the Bucks, the Knicks end the Celtics in 6, the banged up Bulls beat the Nets in 7 and Indiana beat Atlanta in 6; in the West the Spurs swept the Lakers, the Thunder struggled past Houston in 6; Golden State beat Denver in 6; likewise Memphis against the LA Clippers; NFL silly season is upon us – when players get arrested in the months before they return to training camp - and Dan has a rather astute take on the Titus Young situation which he lets on about after the gang take the piss mercilessly; the first round of the 2013 NHL playoffs ended last night with Game 7s in Boston and Washington and the biggest surprise of the round at that point had been what a good go of it the New York Islanders had made against the Pittsburgh Penguins; Erik tells us lots of great baseball stuff; the guys provide Nick with a team in each major sport but take ages about it; loads of Bodeans Mailbag action, translated rap game from Dan and Nick sings us out, plus much, much more...

Americarnage #101: Rain Mike

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan have abilities of sporting recall beyond those of normal men but at last Iron Mike reveals quite why the draft is entirely his bitch...

In other news: Rain Man the Animated Series gets pitched; Mike reccommends good stuff; Oliver Stone gets discussed, later on so to awful awful fims - the two may be related or may not be;  The Draft took place on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday and boy were there some surprises… Eric Fisher went first to the Chiefs, leaving Luke Joeckel to the Jaguars; only one quarterback went in the first round – Ej Manuel going to the Bills despite a series of Mock Drafts linking them with Ryan Nassib; in the NBA we’re entering the final games of the first round, but not for San Antonio and Miami, who are both through; Miami swept the Bucks without Dwayne Wade, and even though Lebron put up thirty in game 4 they probably could have done it without him too; the 2012-13 NHL playoffs are under way and last night the Presidents Trophy winning Chicago Blackhawks took on the Minnesota Wild inn the playoffs for the first time since 2008 and the Blackhawks took it in OT with a breakaway goal from Bryan Bickell; in St Louis, the current champion LA Kings went down in overtime thanks to a cheeky short handed goal by Alex Steen, who stole the puck from Jonathan Quick and nicked his second. Would have been fine but Quick’s opposite number Bryan Elliott had a great game; in the other game, Detroit, who muddled into the playoffs, went down 3-1 in Anaheim; Teemu Selane got his 42nd playoffs goal, one for every year he has spent on this earth; loads of great listener questions in the Bodeans Mailbag; another cracker of a game from Dan and much, much more...

Americarnage #100: A Century of Filth!

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike, Dan and indeed HdP never thought on that cold winter's night back in late 2010 that they'd get this far. Or have avoided killing each other for so long. To celebrate this milestone they've doubled up on guests with 'Carnage favourites Marek Larwood and Kelly-Anne Lyons and pretty much quintupled the level of offensiveness. Pappy Dan returns and listen out at the end as many of our celeb mates sent in congratulations...

Massive thanks to everyone who has joined us on the show and even more massive thanks to everyone who's listened over the last two-and-a-bit years, we love ya - enjoy a special edition hour and a half of Americarnage...

Americarnage #99: Best Predictions Ever

por Me:Mo

Nat and Dan have such an understanding of sport that they have acheived the status of near-infallable sages. Lacking Mike this week they're joined by a man whose powers of prediciton match their own, Erik Janssen.

In other news: Nat makes musical recommendations and airs his Transformers obsession; Dan does 300 things for 3 points, they're all amazing; HdP spends the week in the Shame Cupboard due to fouling up getting Americarnage's WWE correspondant on the phone; the NBA has around 6 games in the regular season left, but the East is all but decided – Miami have won it and they’ll be joined in the first round by Indiana, New York, Brooklyn, Chicago, Atlanta, Boston and Milwaukee; in the NHL there are around 9 games of the strike shortened season - in the East, Pittsburgh lead, having won 29 of 39 games. They’re followed by the Canadiens and incredibly, the once dead and buried Washington Caps. Currently, although the Flyers are 5 points adrift of a playoff space, the whole of the East could still make it theoretically; loads of action from the Bodeans Mailbag, another cracking game from Dan and much, much more...

Americarnage #98: Wake Up to Syracuse Crunch!

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mika and Dan know that the best way to start the day is with a healthy breakfast, here's how definitely not to do that...

In other news: Nat is Iron Man; Dan tells jokes about frogs; Mike tells a seeminly endless stream of jokes about trees; very odd things happen with cheerleaders; in the NBA, the Eastern Conference is currently Miami, Indiana, New York and Brooklyn all of whom are in the playoffs with around 12 games to go; in the West it’s San Antonio, OKC, LAC, Denver and Memphis who have secured their places in the first round; the Heat are still the only game in town as their frankly mental streak continues; in hte NHL Pittsburgh, Montreal and Winnipeg in the East; Chicago, Anaheim and Minnesota in the West, as we enter the final weeks of the this strike shortned regular season; Nat and Mike trail the soon-to-be-here baseball season; many offensive jokes are told about a variety of subjects; loads of good stuff in the Bodeans Mailbag and a new game too - it's a bumber edition to keep y'all going while we take an Easter break next week...

Americarnage #97: Some Idiot is Top 5!

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan briefly think back those halcyon days of summer last year when Mike forever gained the love of all sports fans at the Olympic basketball - his clip is in the top 5 sporting moments of 2012 according to the BBC website. It's not like much else happened last year though...

In other news: Iron Mike gives us the low-down on Westerns; Dan's so Meta that he likes a TV show about people watching TV; Nat brings up an underrated recent classic; once again there are several spirited attempts to offend pretty much everyone; in the NBA, the Heat are now 23 straight which is frankly ridiculous; on Sunday they beat the Raptors, equalling the second-longest winning streak ever - just the '71-2 Lakers to beat; Dennis Rodman continues to amaze with his efforts to destroy the world with nuclear war; Wes Welker gets a nice little doing-over, as do plenty of other free agent moves; the Americarnage 'flog us on social media' competition is still running, HdP's deciding the winner and is apparently bribe-able so, y'know, think about that - winner announced on next week's show; loads of good stuff in the Bodeans Mailbag; Extreme Eating discussion - what horrifying thing would you rather eat, and much, much more...

Americarnage #96: Iron Birthday Rum Fest

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan love a celebration and what better than the Big Man's birthday? To help them celebrate they're joined by Master of Rum and Browns fan Paul McFadyen who sets a dangerous precident by bringing the gang lots of lovely beer and delicious rum. Future guests: you know what you need to do.

In other news: Soderberg's films are basically just Law and Order writ large; turns out we all want Paul's job, listen to find out why; Dan brings up Natwest's new idea for advancing friendship; free agency madness inthe NFL; in the NBA, the East it’s Miami New York and Indiana; in the West it’s San Antonio, OKC and LAC but the team of the week is the Heat – they beat the Pacers on Sunday night to hit their 18th straight win, despite a season low of 13 for Lebron; past the halfway point in this strike shortened NHL season gone it’s Montreal, Pittsburgh and Carolina in the East; Chicago, Anaheim and Minnesota in the West; The World Baseball classic is going great guns - highlight so far is possibly the greatest baseball scrap ever between the Canadians & the Mexicans; loads of rum and general booze talk; lots of good stuff from the Bodeans Mailbag and much, much more...

Americarnage #95: And Then There Were Two

por Me:Mo

Mike and Dan are soldiers, they power on through while all around them fall. So when Nat is taken out and would-be guest Tom Bell is felled by a squirty virus while actually on his way to the studio they man up and make a two-hander. Well, two and a quarter as HdP chips in a bit more than either usual or prudent. Pray we're back up to strength next week...

In other news: Mike talks art; Dan talks films; HdP talks whisky; Americarnage talks about what you should be up to this saturday in London and how we can get you a discount; Manti Te'o talks... well, not much; Joe Flacco talks muche dinero; many players talk Franchise; many others don't; in the NBA Miami talk sweeping the board - last night, they beat the T-Wolves for their 15th straight win – a franchise record for a franchise that wins a LOT; Wade grabbed 32 and 10 assists and Lebron, who some say is injured, got 20; in the land of ice and pucks, in the East Montreal lead Pittsburgh and Carolina, in the West it’s Chicago, Anaheim, and Vancouver; loads of good talk from the Bodeans Mailbag; great game from Dan - Killer Lines - and much, much more...

Americarnage #94: Learn to Pronounce Guest Names

por Me:Mo

Nat and Dan are once again Mike-less and, as the tears mist their eyes, they look to heavens and see their guardian angel in the form of the very funny Luke Capasso. Nat is so overjoyed that he immediately mispronounces his name. Luke doesn't appear to mind... Much.

In other news: Dan compares American Psycho to the Bible, if this offends you DO NOT LISTEN ANY FURTHER; expensive pizza is discussed; the Nats send the best tweet ever; the biggest free agent on the NFL market has found a home; NBA-wise, in the East Miami have continued the great form they showed pre-All Star weekend, behind them Indiana have finally overturned the faltering Knicks to move into second; in the West the Spurs have 4 games on OKC and the LA Clippers; loads of good stuff from the Bodeans Mialbag; Oscars chat and you know it won't be about the movise and much, much more...

Americarnage #93: Family Feuds

por Me:Mo

Nat and Mike are big on family and friends so close they could be called family too. Good job as, while Dan's away tending to an injury, Mike brings his son Nate along, Nat brings his old mate Will along and the whole gang are joined by HdP's future wife* Kelly-Anne Lyons who has brought her usual charm, wit and cupcakes to Camden.

In other news: Big apologies for a late show this week - HdP has spent all of his 'alone time' this week (2 days...!) fixing a variety of techy problems with the original recording; Nate gets involved in the show and Mike is definitely in trouble; the ultimate noise machine is back; the cupcakes are Superbowl-themed; Spiral is back on TV and Mike loves it; the Combine is coming, place your bets here; loads of sports chat, questions from the Bodeans Mailbag, the world's most cursory Oscars discussion and much, much more...

*I know, right? Just listen to the show.

Americarnage #92: Americarnage for Pope!

por Me:Mo

As the dust clears from last week's Battle Royale, Nat and Dan realise that Mike's not even in the studio anymore. Distraught, they look around for anything which might bring hope back to life and find, as if by magic, friend of the show Ben Isaacs.

In other news: Ben brings in a bit of paper, it's good but Nat has trouble with it; the Pope steps down, you'll never hear what the guys actually think about this as we don't want to get sued again; winners of the 'like us on facebook' thingy get announced; Dan's been watching films again, hear about that; the films of Steven Segal get a big-up; NHL-wise, in the East New Jersey lead from Boston and Tampa Bay, although perhapos Boston would be top if their games on the weekend weren’t cancelled due to the very weather that caused the game of hockey to be created in the first place; in the West it goes Chicago, Anaheim and Vancouver; NFL-wise, it turns out Barkevious Mingo has a brother - this is the best news ever, find out why; nothing really happening in the baseball; in the NBA, Boston have been mentally amazing despite losing Rondo then lose to... Charlotte?! Rudy Gay has been on-and-off for the Raptors but Dan's NBA round-up will tell you why; Great game - NHL Spelling Bee; loads of grand stuff in the Bodeans Mailbag and much, much more...

Americarnage #91: Super Bowl Hangover III

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan drank in the atmosphere, the sights, the scores and the strangenesses of this year's Lombardi trophy game so much that this one isn't so much of a hangover - they're still pretty wasted. Luckily for them they're joined by returning 'Carnage favourite and very funny man Caimh McDonnell. He should calm them down, right...?

In other news: There was some sort of NFL game last weekend, Mike tells us about it; he also tells us about his adventures in New Orleans and how he plugged his rock tumbler in just after half time; Dan watches more and more films - hear about them here; the Phoenix Coyotes may well be no more after their would-be owner Greg Jamison missed a deadline to buy the team; it was a week of brutal hits – first John Erskine elbowed Wayne Simmonds so hard that he’s out indefinitely with concussion; NBA-wise, in the East, Miami still lead New York, but Indiana are catching them;iIn the West the Spurs are pulling away from OKC and the Clippers after 10 straight; in the South the Rockets made history by equalling the single game NBA record for threes against the Warriors; loads of good stuff from the Bodeans Mailbag; great game from Dan; loads of fights amongst the guys and much, much more...

Americarnage #90: Folks are Kinda Slow These Days

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan are so fired up about the Super Bowl that they temporarily forget it even exists. Luckily memory snaps back as Mike's off to New Orleans for the Beeb, Nat's off the Superbash as host and Dan and HdP will be heading there too - joined by Americarnage's sideline reporter and this week's very special guest Tom Bell.

In other news: Nat gives an insight into what it's like to sideline report the darts for ESPN; Mike gets weirded out by stupid tube posters; Dan's now seen all films ever made and a few that haven't been yet; the Pro Bowl happened, underwhelming doesn't even cover it; the 49ers are supposed to be a lock for the title but how will they go about winning it?; NBA-wise the All Star starters were announced last week, but we sort of ignored them but it was the same old stars: Wade and Lebron joined by Garnet, Rondo and Mello; Miami lead the East, San Antonio lead the West; the Kings will be the Supersonics sooner rather than later. The Maloof family have agreed to sell them for 525m despite Forbes magazine estimating that they are worth just over half that; TOm Bell's Bane impression is back; in the NHL the Chicago Blackhawks have started this shortened season unlike any other in their history. They are now 6-0 after beating the Red Wings in overtime on Sunday; taso unbeaten are the San Jose Sharks – they’re 5-0 and on Sunday they beat the only other unbeaten team, the Cannucks; New York Yankees & Mike Carlson fave Alex Rodriguez has hired an attorney and is denying involvement after his name was linked to a place which dispensed performace enhancers. Yikes; loads of fun from the Bodeans Mailbag; Superbowl drinking games and much, much more...

Americarnage #89: Stan the Man Unusual

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan are not folks to be defeated by adverse weather, except for last week when it was just part of the mix and Dan thinks he's got a solution for this - Playground Style...

In other news: Mike and Dan arm-wrestle, at least I think that's what they're doing; Kelly-Anne has offered cupcakes for various hockey results - this can only be a good thing; Dan is playing the Oscar Game again so never leaves the cinema; Nat gives love to the sadly departed Stan the Man; Superbowl 47 will be the Harbowl between the San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens, after two sort of rookies made the Bowl in their sort of first seasons; Colin Kaepernick turned in the greatest rushing performances by a quarterback in the playoffs – by picking up 181 yards, including a 56 yard touchdown; Baltimore, who left it until the last thirty seconds to turns around the Denver game, went long again and threw over the New England secondary over and over again; in coaching news - Chip Turner is the Eagles coach. Bruce Arians has gone to the Cardinals; Mante Te-‘o knows how to pick ‘em; in the NBA, having won four straight against the Pistons, the Knicks go out early and it stayed that way; the Heat still lead the Knicks; in the West OKC lead the Clippers and the Spurs but the Conference leader could change three times this week, that’s how tight it is; in the new short NHL season the Pittsburgh Penguins are off to a Flyer – literally, beating the Flyers 3-1 in the season opener; best rookie so far is probably Vladmir Tarsenko of the St Louis Blues, who has five points and three goals in two games; loads of Bodeans Mailbag action and a game from Dan - Crazy Bets...

Americarnage #88: New Sheriff in Town

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan love discipline - flags, fines, police action - they love it all! After last week's deeply offensive outing Nat has decided that he's better off at the darts for ESPN and Mike appoints himself the new sheriff in town, come to clean up acts and take names. The first name he takes is of this week's guest, Giants fan and very funny man David Whitney.

In other news: Dan mistakes Mike's injury for personal violation; Mike tests the limits of his love for Kelly-Ann; Wildcard weekend is over, but not before claiming some casualties; in Houston – entertainment was the casualty, as the Texans ground out a repeat of last year, beating the dogged Bengals; the Vikings surprise everyone by starting Joe Webb who started well but collapsed in a horrifying pile of misses and interceptions; Baltimore got all sentimental over the return of Chuck Pagano and Ray Lewis’ last home game ever. Playing with a bizarre metal claw, Lewis looked patchy as Ray Rice gave up two interceptions before the Ravens finally pulled away; RG3 lost out to Russell Wilson in Washington and may have lost more than the game; in the NBA Miami lead the East from New York, OKC lead the West from the LA Clippers who are back on form with two straight; the Bostol Celtics are busy slapping referees around; Atlanta Hawks GM Danny Ferry was fined 15,000 dollars for handing officials a copy of the game on DVD. It was deemed to be inappropriate interactions with officials; The NHL is back and likely to start a 48 game season on the 19th January after 16 hours of negotiations on Saturday; without boring you the details are: the players share of revenues is down from 57 to 50. The owners wanted them to take 46%; lots of fun from the Bodeans Mailbag and much, much more...

Americarnage #87: Offensive New Year!

por Me:Mo

Nat and Dan are back and in many ways it seems that the peace and love of the Christmas season have had a profound effect on them - they now want to offend literally everyone in the world. Iron Mike is on IR with a dodgy tooth so who did we call? Marek Larwood of course!

In other news: Dan watched a zillion films over Christmas, he talks about some of them; Marek gets burnt by his local swimming pool, Dan offers to help him sue the council; Nat flags up Stand Up Guys, out next year, then things get a bit odd; it's Wildcard week and the most surprising entrant is the Texans – until last week top of the AFC, they slumped to a loss against Andrew Luck and Indy; they’ll play the Bengals, who beat the Ravens, who will host Indy; on Black Monday Chan Galey got his marching orders in Buffalo, Andy Reid got it in Philly but may be about to take over in Arizona after Rod Graves and Ken Whisenhunt were shown the door; in the NBA, Miami lead the East, OKC lead the West but the big news is that somebody finally beat the Clippers! The other team in LA lost to the Denver Nuggets on New Year’s Day; Steve Nash returned for the Lakers and helped Kobe to 34 points in his 15th Christmas game, which finished with a great Pau Gasol dunk and which h happened because of the Knicks’ weird Christmas day vests;  the NHL lockout has reached its 109th day and Dan bores himself telling us; loads of Bodeans Mailbag action and much, much more...

Americarnage #86: Lazy-Ass Clip Show 2

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan work their arses off all year to bring you quality(?) entertainment, 48 shows in 2012 and each one riddled with top analysis and elegant profanity. For the 49th show they figured they'd done enough and locked HdP in the studio with orders to collect up some of the best bits of 2012 for a clip show.

In characteristic style he did a just-about-passable brilliant job and so we present you Lazy-Ass Clip Show 2: Lazier, Assier, Clippier.

Happy new year from all at Americarnage and we'll be taping a brand new show next week once hangovers have abated slightly, see you then...

Americarnage #85: A Lyons in Winter

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan are full of festive cheer - to an almost disturbing level in Hollywood's case - and adding to their festive joy is that they're joined by actress, presenter and mistress of sporting trivia Kelly-Anne Lyons. It's a 'Carnage Christmas alright...

In other news: The playoff picture took shape with two games to go as the Texans cemented their place at the top of AFC South with an impressive win over Indy; in the NFC the Falcons shut out the Giants in a replay of last year's embarrassingly one sided wildcard; the Cowboys beat the Steelers in overtime and the Redskins beat the Browns, meaning that the NFC East is in a kinky threeway at the top; in the NBA, the New York Knicks lead Miami in the East, with the Knicks having not dropped a game at home all season; Scratch that because last night Jeremy Lin returned to New York City with his new chums in Houston less than a year after he leapt off the bench, only to end up on Houston bench behind James Harden; in the MLB more crazy trading going down as teams shed and acquire players more frequently than Harry Da Producer lands restraining orders; NHL's still locked out and we're ever so excited about hte legal wrangling; lots of goodness in the Bodeans Mailbag, another great game from Dna and much, much more...

Americarnage #84: Apocalypse Now and Then

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan love to defy prophesies - not the Mayan kind but more of the 'these guys won't last five minutes' kind. To all those imaginary haters, 'F$%k you! We just hit our 2nd anniversary!' To everyone else, 'Did you know this is the 2nd anniversary of Americarnage? Wonderful isn't it?'

In other news: Mike stars in Wayne's World on monday night but isn't Wayne or Garth; he's been in a lift with Jaime Lee Curtis though and said nothing in any way rude; Hollywood spent a weekend watching documentaries, quite a few by Vice magazine. Yes, I know, but they're gooood; Nat isn't a hipster, he's a genuine old man; great dissection of the Marquez - Pacquiao fight; love for the listeners who gave us love on iTunes; Brett Ellis gets some love and some hate; was the Texans - Pats really the bes t game ever on Monday Night Football; NFC East tightens up and the Bengals get a check; NFC North get s more interesting too, poor old Lions; Braylon Edwards makes the most hilarious deal ever; the AFC is weak and patchy but hell, you knew that; the Colts are working bizarrely well though; the deals in the MLB have gone mental and the Dodgers, amongst others, are spending all the money in the world; the Knicks are hilarious; the Wizards are more so but for different reasons; Dan gives us a great game based in no way on Lost in Translation; loads of good questions in the Bodeans Mailbag and much, much more...

Americarnage #83: The Travelling Dingleberries

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan love a good trip to the States, a chance to visit places they love and places they've never been - maybe catch a couple of games while they're at it. Americarnage #73: Barely Mentioning Scab Refs

por Me:Mo

Mike and Dan are a pair of horse-collaring, facemask pulling unnecessarily rough low-blockers and with Nat out with a tooth injury, Harry the Producer is left to rain flags down like the ill-informed scab ref he is. por Me:Mo

Mike and Dan make their glorious return to the studio in lovely Camden Town but find that the host's chair is empty as Nat's taking his turn in the Americarnage isolation hut for a week of nihilistic shouting along the lines of 'Tebow for President'. Americarnage #55: Larwood vs. Long Ding

por Me:Mo

Mike, Nat and Dan are manifestly sexual tyranosaurs but in the mailbag this week they find out more than they may have wanted to about 'Carnage mainstay Marek...

In other news: Dan is awesome at NBA2K12; swearing seems to be cool all of a sudden; The draft played out pretty much as expected – Luck first, RG3 second and Matt Kalil 3rd (although Washington later drafted Kirk Cousins, creating a QB competition before the season even began); Carlson eats a banana and an amazing transformation occurs - Mike is the Draft Doctor; The NHL Conference Semi Finals are under way after last week’s remaining games were resolved in game seven; Washington turned over the holders, the Boston Bruins in overtime of game 7 after Joel Ward slammed home the winner...; The NBA playoffs are underway! The talk is off Heat vs Knicks in the first round. It’s 2-0 Miami already and Amar’e could be out of the series after he punched a fire extinguisher and cut him hand! Nutter! Rapid Corrections and Clarifications; more goodness in the Bodeans Mailbag; another awesome game from Dan and much, much more...

Americarnage #54: Luke at the Draft

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan are pretty happy this week and this is down to two big things: the NFL draft and this week's special guest, stand-up comedian and all-round media bad-ass Luke Capasso who joins the guys in time to witness their joy at the coming together of two of Americarnage's favourite reference-point QB's...

In other news: Nat checks the state of his chair; fun and frolics in Three Points; Mike's Mock Draft makes sense as far as these things go; Philadelphia Flyers overcome Cup favourites Sidney Crosby’s Penguins (as correctly predicted on Americarnage); other things happen that we predicted; some things happen that we didn't, but not many; New Jersey and Florida are going to game seven; Ottawa and New York too and Washington and Boston won’t give up; in the NBA, Chicago win the East, Miami second, despite stuttering forms towards the end of the season; In the West, an incredible push has put San Antonio back on top, relegating OKC, who will now probably play Dallas; Peace no more. Metta World Peace is back to his old tricks, elbowing James Harden in the face while celebrating the dunk; A perfect game for Philip Humbert's White Sox - the 21st in MLB history - he got a call from President Obama, who's a devoted White Sox fan; Luke hears some comedic racism from the gang, and much, much more....

Americarnage #53: Would I Lyons to you Baby?

por Me:Mo

Illness has struck the 'Carnage crew and Nat has been laid low by lurgy. He's kicking himself double-hard as it's the simply wonderful actress, model and TV presenter Kelly-Anne Lyons in her glorious return to the show. Mike hits the hotseat and the show goes on...

In other news: The Stanley Cup Playoffs are underway and it looks like we’re in for a few shocks; Pittsburgh took a three nil lead against Philadelphia, but it’s been downhill since then; Sidney Crosby beat Claude Giroux, who himself managed the esteemed Gordie How hat trick; in the final throes of the NBA regular season, most teams have around six games left; Chicago lead the East and have now clinched their division, as have the second placed Miami Heat; the West is still dominated by OKC and San Antonio; in the MLB, Matt Kemp is firing on all cylinders, Bobby Valentine should juat be fired; the NFL is being sued by four former players who filed Monday in state court in Atlanta, said the Saints' pay-for-pain system was another example the league "explicitly relied on violence"; the team pick out three points from a tangled week; Dan outlines just how fixed the NBA is; your questions inthe Bodeans Mailbag; Kelly and Mike have a Brit-Cit showdown, and much, much more...

Americarnage #52: Wonderlic My Balls?

por Me:Mo

With Rick Santorum punking his way out of the race for the White House, Nat, Mike and Dan celebrate but fear the chance of a Nixon-like return with Santorum/Palin 2016... Then they stop thinking about such terrifying things and get on with the business of kicking each other's arses at the Wonderlic.

In other news: Ozzie Guillen ingratiated himself to his new Miami co-residents by bigging up Fidel Castro; the NHL regular season is over and the smart money is currently on Pittsburgh for the Stanley Cup; Dan goes to an art exhibition; watch out for Ryan Clowe of the San Jose Sharks, who against LA got away with one of the most bizarre bits of cheating ever – poke checking someone while on the bench; about a fortnight left of the truncated regular season and Miami have joined Chicago in the playoffs with around ten games to go; two weeks til the NFL draft and we're getting a bit too excited; your questions in the Bodeans Mailbag; Mike gatecrashes Corrections and Clarifications; Dan tests the team, Wonderlic Written Test-style and much, much more...

Americarnage #51: Americarnage Assemble!

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan have gathered in their secret underground lair, called together by Harry the Producer, in order to combat... Well, what've you got? They mainly fight each other anyway.

In other news: Dan loves NBA 2K12 - maybe too much; in the MLB Reds have locked up Joey Votto through 2023 with a deal worth $225 million; Indians' Ubaldo Jiminez has been suspended for 5 games on his return to Colorado for deliberating hitting Rockies SS Troy Tulowitzki; Two or three games left depending on who you support - Vancouver lead the West after a stutter at the last by St Louis; in the East New York, Boston, Florida, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, New Jersey and Ottawa are there; in the NBA OKC are in the playoffs, joining the Bulls with thirteen games to spare; the Eastern Conference is largely the same, except Boston, who are surging to 5 straight; An LA NFL team now seems a much less distant possibility as rich weirdo Phillip Anschutz, who already owns EVERYTHING, said he would buy a full stake in an NFL team and relocate them to downtown LA; fantasy baseball update - Dan wants YOU; loadsa of good stuff in the Bodeans Mailbag; Wrestlemania hangover; good old chat about films, and much, much more...

Americarnage #50: Stickball Season!

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan have whole lot of love for baseball, so much so that this episode takes an almost actually serious look at this season seeing as it's just a couple of days old. Domn't worry, they argue and make offensive jokes too so there's a semblence of normality...

In other news: We’re entering the final stretch of the NHL regular season and the Toronto Maple Leafs have missed the playoffs for the 7th straight season; Twitter is ablaze with fans calling for GM Brian Burke to go; the Bulls have become the first team to make the NBA playoffs, continuing to top the East, although the OKC Thunder aren’t far behind; on Sunday the Thunder beat the Heat in a game many are predicting was the tipping point that pushed Kevin Durant into the lead for the race for MVP; Dennis Rodman is going to jail unless he coughs up 860,000 in child support; NFL Rule change! The regular season will now be like the post season. A field goal from the off is no longer enough to win! What’s the point? It’s just another rule for the Saints to break… No corrections and clarifications this week but a serious helping from the Bodeans Mailbag and much, much more...

Americarnage #49: Return of the Mike

por Me:Mo

At last! After however many weeks its been, Iron Mike is back on Americarnage and in many ways it's like he's never been away. Probably because he hasn't really been anywhere, he just lost a bet and had to spend a month in the Cupboard of Shame. Otherwise known as Harry the Producer's holiday home. In other news:

Peyton Manning is a Denver Bronco! He’ll pick up $95m for a five year contract, 18m guaranteed, although he’ll pick up $40m more if his neck doesn’t bust in the first year; Matt Flynn picked Seattle; Mark Sanchez picked up a big new contract with the Jets the 49ers looked set to drop Alex Smith and then didn’t AND Tebow was traded to the Jets for a 4th and a 6th; in the NHL, Sid the Kid is back - he got on the score sheet as the Pens pummelled the Rangers at the Garden 5-2; as we enter the last few weeks of the regular season, the Flyers are involved in a mighty three horse race for top spot in the east; Steven Stamkos has hit 50 goals for the second time in his career; NBA-wise Chicago are 39-10 and haven’t lost consecutive games all season, they are the best team in the league. Period; MLB Season kicks off in Tokyo in the Japan Opening Series on March 28th - the Oakland A's and Seattle Mariners are the lucky recipients of a jetlagged start to the season; big movers in the off season were Miami, new absolutely everything for them; AmericarnageFantasy Basball (and all the other ones) starting very soon; winner of the competition for a place in our league announced; Nat talks tactics; Mike talks Obsession; Dan talks team names. His is very good; listener questionsin the Bodeans Mailbag and much, much more...

Americarnage #48: Let's Get Ready to Ramble

por Me:Mo

With Mike away for one more week, Nat and Dan have the utter pleasure of welcoming Luke Moore of The Football Ramble to the show - a man who is not only a hirsuit legend, he leant his nous at the very dawn of 'Carnage to help get us on t'interweb in the first place. Luke may be a god when it comes to the premier league but the guys take it upon themselves to sort him out with some real teams to support...

In other news: Peyton's final choices have been narrowed down to Denver, Tennessee, Arizona and Miami; back in Indy, the Colts continue their firesale: they re-sign Reggie Wayne, but release everyone else – Jeff Saturday, Dallas Clark and Joe Addai. Garcon was later picked up by Washington in a waaaayyy too expensive deal; Calvin Johnson has re-signed with the Lions – a $132m eight year deal that makes him the NFL’s highest paid player; Sid the Kid is back AGAIN. Or he isn’t. Who knows? He is expected to play tonight against the New York Rangers for the first time since his brief return in December; the Bruins have slumped to three losses in a row and the Canadiens are bottom of the East. Nothing more to say about that...; so let’s talk about the New York Knicks! Mike D Antoni got the chop after the team lost their sixth straight, slipping back out of playoff contention; Chicago lead the East, OKC the West, but Milwaukee and the Lakers are this week’s forms teams; Steve Cohen is a hedge funder who may be buying the LA Dodgers and if he does, Tony La Russa will be running them; Check out the We Are the Marlins theme tune which we've posted on our Facebook Fan Page; corrections and clarifications; the Bodeans Mailbag; Mike's last letter from NZ and much, much more....

Americarnage #47: You Can Play!

por Me:Mo

Nat and Dan are sportsmen to the roots of their boots, they want everyone to get involved. In that spirit, with Mike getting through his last few days as antipodean and sending his penultimate postcard, they get the frankly brilliant Tom Bell to join them to play in Camden. Not like that. Well, don't think so...

In other news: Peyton Manning is no longer an Indianapolis Colt, becoming one of the most celebrated free agents of all time in a tearful press conference with Jim Irsay; the Colts are set to clear the decks, and release Saturday, Wayne and Garcon and be the big spenders at free agency; ‘Bountygate’ grips the NFL - a controversial programme run by the Saints to reward players with pitiful amounts for injuring opposition players is 'revealed' by the NFL; New York lead the East from Boston, but damn, the Penguins are hot again – 6 wins on the bounce and with Evgeni Malkin on fire and on course for his best season ever; n the East, the playoff race is tight as ever – Buffalo are seemingly back from the dead and Winnipeg are fifteen games away from their first trip to the post season since 1996 (although they have not played a full season since 1996); Brian Burke news – this week he launched the ‘You Can Play’ campaign, aimed at promoting tolerance for LGBT athletes, a campaign kick started by his deceased son Brendan – an initiative arguably created to possibly annoy Don Cherry; Linsanity is officially over – he’s no longer the most talked about point guard in the NBA after Deron Williams hit a career high 57 in the Nets win over Charlotte; corrections and clarifications; your questions in the Bodeans Mailbag; more news about Americarnage Live; more game fun from Dan and much, much more...

Americarnage #46: Well Slap My Arse with an Evening Standard

por Me:Mo

With Mike away just a little while longer the remaining 'Carnage gang are going a bit feral and crazy. Ok, crazier, revealing personal habits and foibles. In an attempt to keep them in line it's double-producer day with sports producer extraordinaire Phil Spooner in the house to provide firm guidance.

In other news: Nat knows Montell Jordan stuff REALLY well; the NBA All Star game has happened in Orlando! The West triumphed 152-149 but no-one played any D; Durant hit 36; Kobe hit 27, surpassing Michael Jordan as the all time leading All Star point scorer; in the NHL the trade deadline is toast. It was quiet with the biggest trade involving a non-trade; as Dan predicted on the show last week – Rick Nash stays in Columbus, partly because none of the big play off teams really wanted him; a bad season is now considerably worse for the Blue Jackets after GM Scott Howson told the press that the Columbus captian wanted a trade and that they weren’t going to let him go, throwing the poor bastard under the bus; Hines Ward has been cut by the Steelers after 14 seasons; Braylon Edwards could be back to the Jets; Rumour has it that a team “you would never have thought of” are talking to the Rams about their second pick… Corrections and Clarifications, your questions in the Bodeans Mailbag, more film talk, another message from Mike on the far side of the world and much, much more...

Americarnage #45: There Will be Bleeps

por Me:Mo

Nat and Dan like nothing better than predicting the outcome of things: sports, films, fights between strangers. With Mike still checking in from the far side of the world the guys have taken the groundbreaking decision of inviting Marek 'Americarnage' Larwood on to help them out with their Oscar picks...

In other news: Linsanity is over! Sort of! On Friday the Knicks lost their first game since the phenomenon began; then came the real test – Lin and Mello on the court together for the first time; in other news the Heat are hot – they lead the NBA and have won 7 straight; oh, and remember about what Mayweather said about black players in the NBA not getting credit. Kevin Durant got 51 and Russel Westbrook got 40 in an overtime win against Denver; in the NHL the Rangers are pulling away at the top of the East; while the Devils are pulling themselves into contention they’re now 8-1-1 in their last ten; the results of the NHLPA poll are in – some results are predictable – Zdeno Chara has the hardest shot, and Pavel Datsyuk won in several categor5ies (hardest to take the puck from; smartest; hardest to play against); but Sidney Crosby suffered from Yao Ming syndrome – picking up votes in categories he hasn’t even competed in in a year; the NFL Combine happened, things were learnt; Baseball is close - pitchers & Catchers from across the majors have reported - which explains Mike's extended absence; Harry the producer gets draconian; films get discussed; listener questions in the Bodeans Mailbag and much, much more...

Americarnage #44: Home of the Lin-ettes

por Me:Mo

In a contraversial move, Mike has quit the shores of Blighty for a short while to gallavant around LA and NZ. Nat and Dan try to put a brave face on things and helping dry their tears is journalist, Jay Cutler apologist, super-dad and all-round friend of the show Ben Isaacs.

In other news: Linsanity – the world’s favourite Asian American non-draftees continues to amaze for the New York Knicks; the All Star teams… and they’re OK- it’s Rose, Mello, Howard, LeBron and Wade in the East and Kobe, Blake Griffin, Kevin Durant, Bynum and Chris Paul in the West; For those who care – Chicago and Miami are  pretty much neck and neck in the East and the Knicks are in the playoff zone at last after 6 straight; Albert Haynesworth is no longer a Tampa Bay Buccaneer, although he arguably never was; former Dolphon 'Fabulous' Freddie Solomon is mourned; the Combine starts next week so the first mock drafts have appeared; The Rangers lead the East, while the Red Wings lead the West; while the Blackhawks continue their post All Star game plummet; Rick Nash is the name on everyone’s list. Despite committing long-term to Columbus, he’s known to want out; the Miami Marlins will indeed be the featured team when Showtime's second season of "The Franchise" kicks off later this year; Mike's favourite Joe Maddon has signed a contract extension worth around 6 million bucks keeping him at the Rays till 2015; Coco Crisp still has, and possibly always will, have fine hair; no Corrections and Clarifications this week, dispute last week's show at your peril; listener questions in Mailbag, although without Mike the intro sounds a little different; speaking of Mike, he sends and audio postcard...and seemingly leaves messages EVERYWHERE; fun and frollicks with Dan's new game, Cadvertising, and much, much more...

Americarnage #43: Superbowl Hang-Over II

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan have the post-superbowl blues and they thought nothing could cut through them. Then Hollywood got taken out at high speed on the escalator out of Camden tube and found out that those steps can cut through anything...

In other news: Nat did the superbash and is an entertainer, Mike did the BBC coverage and held Chappers and Danny Amendola together, Dan kipped out and missed Corey Feldman and Harry made the first minute or so of the show sound like it was taped in a bathtub; the Giants have done something good lately, can't remember what; Bill Belichick can’t count; ‘Elite’ quarterback Eli Manning won MVP for the second time; Peyton Manning will cease to be a Colt this week if Jimk Irsay doesn’t pay him his 28m roster bonus; in the NHL, no change in the East – the Rangers, the Bruins and the Flyers are pulling away, although New Jersey look like contenders again for the first time in eighteen months; in the West Detroit still lead, but the Blackhawks are in freefall, partly due to Corey Crawford, their hapless goalie; could Seattle be the next big NHL town? Corey Schenider could be the biggest trade of the trading season with Cannucks reporting looking to swap their back up goalie for an as yet unnamed defenseman; NBA-wise Chicago, Miami and Philly dominate the East although the battered Lakers are making a comeback; Kobe Bryant moves ahead of Shaq in the career scoring stakes; Chauncey Billups has torn his Achilles in an injury that threatens to end the career of the Clippers veteran; your questions (and some arguments) in Mailbag; Superbowl Half-Time Consequences; Corrections and Clarifications, and much, much more...

Americarnage #42: Superbowl An' Ting

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan are wired on a combination of Superbowl week and a half-bottle of New Car Smell airfreshener Harry left in the studio by mistake. Dan makes the gang wait before swooping in, Batman-style, for a triumphant NHL round-up. In other news:

Nat's hosting the Superbash and Mike's back to being posh on the BBC for the Superbowl; the AFC wins the Pro Bowl in another disgraceful game of touch football that brought the NFL into disrepute; Aaron Ridgers reckoned that the effort on the NFC team was “embarrassing”; Osi Umenyiora is fined $20,000 for non attendance at the mandatory media day. He claimed that he misunderstood the schedule; the Muppets movie is making the guys all unneccesary; Miquita Oliver gets her first (and last) mention; in the hockey, team Chara beats Team Alfredsson 12-9 in the All Star game, featuring few stars; Marion Gabornik bagged a hat trick and the MVP award; the Rangers continue to lead the East, and the Capitals are third despite being eight points off the Flyers in Fourth; NBA-wise Chicago continues to lead the East, while Miami are getting back into it with 5 straight; OKC lead the West and are pulling away; it’s a while before the dunk contest at the All Star games but Blake Griffin has done it already – his dunk on Kendrik Perkins is being hailed the greatest dunk of all time; the average NBA ticket price has risen to $48.48; which is bad news for Allen Iverson who is officially in debt to his jeweler. Shame; Corrections and Clarifications; your questions in Mailbag, and much, much more...

Americarnage #41: We're Oscar Mike

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan are getting pretty worked up about the Superbowl but even more worked up about the fact that it was Dan's birthday just a few days ago, the Oscars are coming up and Nat's hosting the Superbash this year. Aside from that it's just business as usual with Pappy Dan making a welcome return and does everyone hate the Bruins?

In other news: It’s a Giants, Patriots Superbowl for the second time in four years after both of their opponents spazzed it late on; there will be no Harbowl after Billy Cundiff booted a last minute field goal wide, letting Tom Brady off the hook in a game that he admitted that he “sucked” in; in the NHL New York lead the East from Boston; Detroit lead the West from Vancouver. Many of the teams making the early running – especially Toronto and Minnesota - have melted away Pappy Dan talks about Tim Thomas veering further to the right than he is; Comrade Carlson takes exception; the Bulls are killing it – going to 16 and 3 despite Derrick Rose, Luol Deng,Taj Gibson, and Joakim Noah all nursing injuries; age continues to catch up with Celties and the Lakers – the latter slipping to 10 and 8 and out of the playoff places, despite having this week bumped the Knicks as the NBA’s most valuable team according to Forbes; the Prince Fielder deal is frankly mental; Kobe loses three houses; Carlson knows Seal; your questions in Mailbag; the triumphant return of Yahoo Jeopardy and much, much more...

Americarnage #40: It's All a Ratings Scam

por Me:Mo

Americarnage #39: Ain't Nothin' To F@&k With

por Me:Mo

Mike and Dan are feeling a bit Wu Tang, as is all-time record-guest and fervent Lion Marek Larwood. Nat's away keeping the ESPN-watching world appraised of happenings at Lakeside so doesn't get the chance to become Pleasing Assonance...

Americarnage #36: Three Wise Guys

por Me:Mo

Nat, Mike and Dan will drink your style down straight, no chaser, but sometimes they get bored of style and go looking for substance. No, not around the back of Lidl, they look for the things which really matter, the big questions: what power will TT be granted this week? Who's next up in the big job at Miami? And will they hire Condi Rice to take over Special Teams?

Americarnage #34: It's beginning to look a lot like August

por Me:Mo

With Nat away repairing his secret underground lair this week, Mike and Dan turn to other distractions. They're a literary pair, they read books and everything, yeah? Except Dan says he doesn't. This proves no bar to enjoying their company of this week's guest. Please welcome Guggenheim fellow, New Jersey native and 49-er's fan: the celebrated American poet August Kleinzahler.

In other news: August has never seen Mike drunk. Or after 4.30pm; Thanksgiving turned into head stomping as Ndamakong Suh is ejected for the most hilariously blatant attack in a while; Stevie Johnson gets fined only fifteen yards for pretending to shoot himself in front of Plaxico Burress; God punishes him and he drops a potentially game winning touchdown against the Jets; the Colts are now 0-11 and have benched Curtis Painter…; Tebow wins AGAIN, Norv Turner looks on the way out, the Eagles signed off on their season and the 49ers lost to the Ravens; never criticise the Boston Bruins again, it just makes them angry then they win everything; he Maple Leafs are all injured, the Panthers are going well and the Canucks are also mounting a huge comeback, partly due to the form of Corey Schneider; in Russia and Finland, fighting has been the order of the day; NBA is BACK! Americarnage #32: President and Correct
